Memory Hostel

The location is great, and the lobby is beautiful, but beyond that I can’t recommend this hostel. My sheets and curtain were stained, the rooms were set up awkwardly with only small lockers (just a drawer) under the beds so it was hard to pass people through the bags and cramped quarters. It was also impossible to open the door if someone was in a locker/drawer. The doors don’t lock to the rooms either, just as a fyi. The shower sprays onto the toilet or onto the toilet paper-take your pick-and the drain was clogged so the whole room flooded during a brief shower. It is a mini lake. The staff appear eager to please, but are very pushy. I love hostels, but this has been by far the poorest since arriving in Vietnam. The trips they offer don’t come with any information beyond a name and a price, and there is construction evident which I assumes means they are very new. All in all, nothing like what I expected from the price or the reviews. The rooftop exists as a small balcony with plants and no chairs and some poles strewn on the ground. Again, good location, cramped and far behind other hostels aside from the lobby.
