This was a disappointing experience to say the least. The room we booked had a dreadful smell coming from the toilet drains, likely due to poor plumbing (no U-pipe). Because of this we had to keep the room window open at night to avoid the worst of the stench. This was not nice on a cold February night in Dali.

It takes a couple of more minutes to any of these places: restaurant, fruit shop, supermarket, hospital, church and bank. A short 15-minute walk will take you to the historical tower and pedestrian street. The hostel is about 18 kilometers from the train station in the new town of Dali city, there are frequent direct buses to help you catch trains just to front of the hostel on the G214 road.
The hostel is a very bright and neat property combined with a traditional Bai ethnic exterior and a lovely modern design inside. Clean rooms, cozy mattresses. Staff at the reception always do their best to be friendly and helpful to guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in the rooms and communal areas. Free luggage storage is provided at the reception, train, coach tickets and further travelling service(individual or group tour) with a reasonable charge are also available.
Rooms require electricity key-card to access, bath rooms with shower heaters, slippers, towels, clean bedding articles, each a curtain for every bunks in dorms.
