Asur Hotel & Aparts & Villas

Made our way to the apartments which were nice and settled in. Unfortunately on our first day we had money go missing from our LOCKED SAFE!!! Spoke to the receptionist who told us in no uncertain terms that "this could never happen , and we were told that we 'must of read the reviews about money being taken, which we told them that we had not. They also said go to the police but that will cost you and you will need to pay for an interpreter. They were totally not interested in our complaints and brushed it aside saying again tgat this could not happen. After that we kept our money with us at all times, we also spoke to other guests who had had money go missing from there safe. Easyjet were informed. I suggest if you stay here be very vigilant with your money , or make other arrangements to keep it safe.

Thank you for the wonderful experience! I stayed as a solo traveller in May at the Asur Hotel (my first solo holiday experience) and instantly felt welcomed and part of the Asur Family. The hotel and apartments are traditional in design which I loved, and overall the feel and atmosphere of the property was calm, relaxing and just what I needed. Location Asur Hotel is set on the riverside in Dalyan. It’s a 10 minute stroll into town where you’ll find an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants. There’s a supermarket just up the road which is approx. 5 mins walk away (ideal for those staying in the apartments on a self catering basis). The ferry crossing point to Kaunos ruins is just 70m away from the entrance of the Asur Hotel. The ferry costs just 10 Turkish Lira each way (foot passenger), or 50 lira per car. The ferry went back and forth every 10/15 minutes so it’s very convenient. Entrance to the ruins at the time of my visit cost just 50 lira also… so for a nice day out it cost less than £4 total. Lots of excursions and boat trips left from this ferry point too and there was a friendly guy that worked there who can answer most questions on trips. (Alternatively walk into town by the Mosque and you’ll find an abundance of boat trips and water taxis). Rooms I stayed in a Double Room at the Asur Hotel. All rooms are traditionally designed in an Ottoman style with the beautifully crafted woodwork on the ceiling. Safety deposit boxes and fridges are available to use free of charge which is a nice unexpected inclusion. All bathrooms consist of a shower cubicle (no baths) and the shower was powerful. All Hotel Rooms in the main block are on the ground floor. I did get the opportunity to visit the Apartments which are 150m up the road in a separate block - although important to state that ALL facilities are shared across the two blocks. The apartments have their own reception, pool and pool bar.. bus as mentioned, if apartment guests wish to use the main hotel pool or pool bar they can do and visa versa for the hotel guests - which was nice. Breakfast Breakfast was good and you won’t struggle to find something you like. There was scrambled eggs, beans, tomatoes, selection of cereals, breads, fruit, yogurts, honey, Nutella etc - plus an egg station where you can create your own omelette and have it cooked in front of you, or request fried eggs of course. Overall - I had the best holiday at Asur Hotel and would not hesitate to return (in fact I’m already looking)! Huge thank you to Habip, Mirna & family plus all the staff of the Asur who work incredible hard and made my holiday experience as enjoyable as possible

This was our first trip to Turkey so a bit unsure what to expect. We wanted quiet but enough to do. We wanted friendly staff who were helpful. We wanted good food at reasonable prices, we wanted lovely surrounding's near the river. We had everything we wanted in abundance. Great apartment, cleaned everyday with beautiful flower and towel arrangements artistically set out on our bed. Well equipped kitchen and beautiful breakfasts. Attentive staff willing to help and any queries dealt with by efficient manageress . Beautiful garden's full of colour with plenty of seating and sunbeds by the two swimming pools or down by the river. It was our type of place just meters from the river and 10 min walk to all the restaurant's, and coffee bars. Now looking to book for May and to stay longer. A great holiday in every way.

We love this place,we stayed in May of this year at the hotel,liked it so much we've just come back again(october)rooms are cleaned daily,air con works well,shower plenty of hot water.room are compact as is the shower.however the pool and gardens and jetty by the river are lovely.mirna the manager is very pleasant as are all the staff.

Dalyan is a hidden gem. We had our honeymoon here in 2013 and returned again, this time to the Asur, which is in a nice spot right on the river. The hotel is a little dated and is a favourite with older people but it was perfect for us (a married couple in our 50's) as it's fabulously quiet on the bank of the river; a steady ten minute walk into the town centre. The rooms are a bit dated but we liked them a lot in their Turkish style. The pool area is lovely, as is the gardens. Breakfast has plenty of variety and is plentiful. Finally, a big thank you to Mirna on reception, who was brilliant with us - always accessible, helpful and cheerful, whatever time of day it is; she is the heart of Asur hotel.

Just returned from the apartments, the accommodation was OK, maybe a little dated but were clean. The location was good just a 10 min walk into the main *****. On our second morning we noticed money had been taken from our locked safe. There was 4 of us in the group and we all had money stollen. Although the staff was very pleasant they refused to accept that it was stollen and very unhelpful, we asked for the police to be called but refused to do it, they said it was up to ourselves to do it. In total between the 4 of us we had £500 stollen. I would advise if booking this apartments you keep your belongings with you especially money and cards.

I have thought long and hard about writing this review, but I think other travellers should know this. On first impressions the Hotel and Apartments very nice (apartment if a bit dated and tired) but was fine. Both have large pools and well-kept grounds. The Apartment offered was a nice size, clean and Mirna’s staff were friendly, helpful, cheerful at first. Mirna herself gave us a choice of an apartment or private villa, advised the safe and the aircon was included in the price, we (four friends were happy and thought how lovely, idyllic looking over the pool on the 1st floor spacious and 2 toilets, met all our needs, so we took room 204 in the apartments) and set to enjoy the holiday, good location, nice food at the Hotel pool restaurant, adequate hotel bar, all seemed lovely, hotel had a jetty to board the river taxi to the beach, hammocks and swinging chairs under the trees at the riverside , we had a choice of 2 pools, what more could you ask. This all changed rapidly when we returned to the safe to find money was taken from all four of our wallets/purses. We had kept the safe key with us at all times. When we returned to the safe to get money out to use, we discovered a certain amounts of Sterling was taken from each money wallet/purse mainly in £20 notes. Not small amounts, £160 from 2 friends. £100 from another friend and £80 or possibly £100 from another. One of us had the Sterling clipped into £100 batches and £40 was taken from each bundle. In my individual money wallet there is secret (hard to get to) compartment and whoever accessed the safe had time to search through our wallets carefully and relock the safe on the first occasion and left it unlocked the second occasion. The amounts taken from the safe happened over 2 occasions the first time 2 friends discovered some sterling missing and took Mirna aside to inform her and she would not accept it could happen, said it was impossible. Foolishly we thought this was a one off and we still left money in the safe, only for it to happen again, how foolishly trusting we were. Plus we aslo foolishly thought the security would be better after one incident was reported to the management/owner. I have been to Turkey many many times and never has anything remotely like this has happened before. Both times Mirna as manager and the owner (who we think may be her father) refused to believe us and both advised us “it is not possible no-one has a spare key” and “no-one has access to the rooms” it was like talking to a brick wall. Clearly, they do, as it happened. On the first occasion one of the party contacted easy jet and on the second occasion one of the group insisted the hotel come with us to the police. Mirna was not compliant and advised we had to contact Easyjet and go to the police ourselves or with an Easyjet rep or she could arrange a taxi for us to go to the police. Both times the missing money was taken, all four of us friends were out of the apartment and we had left the

Returned from our 7 night break at the Asur hotel. We were hoping for a peaceful resort and this is what we found. Rooms are very traditional and quite basic but were kept perfectly clean every day. There is also a small seating area outside. The pool area is lovely, with plenty of space for everyone and no need to reserve a sun lounger! (in Sept anyway!) we saw it all cleaned every morning. The gardens are truly beautiful and these lead down to the river where you can relax on the furniture there. Plenty of choices for breakfast from traditional Turkish to omelettes cooked to order. In the evening the pool bar was good to just chill out and chat with other guests. Murhat the barman was a great and tried to teach is some Turlish words! 10 min walk to supermarkets/shops/restaurants/bars/coffee shops. If you want activities/lively resort or expecting 5 star then this hotel isnt for you. If you want peace and relaxation and to totally get away from the world then this little gem is perfect. Thank you to the manager and all her team for a lovely holiday. We are re-booking for next year!

We’ve recently returned from spending three fantastic weeks at the Asur hotel. We enjoyed the lovely relaxed vibe around the hotel. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are small but very traditional and kept spotlessly clean. Always plenty of hot water for a shower which is small but adequate. The pool is large and always plenty of sun beds. When needing some shade we sat in the lovely gardens leading down to the river where boats can pick you up to go to the beach . Lots of variety of food at breakfast and lunch with a big shout out to Gokhan and Deguken for the best omelettes ever. The hotel is situated in a quiet location approx 15minutes from town. Thank you so much Mirna and all the staff for a fantastic holiday and can’t wait to come back.
