Visited Sigiriya Kingdom Gate Hotel last October during the long weekend with the family. Can reach the place within 10 minutes from Dambulla town. We stayed there for 2 days, and it was a very nice hotel with warm hospitality. Friendly staff always guide us on the activities to be explored around Dambulla during our stay. The hotel's food is delicious, featuring a combination of modern and traditional dishes that enhance the overall dining experience. In summary, our stay at Sigiriya Kingdom Gate Hotel was truly enjoyable, and we look forward to returning in the future.

We enjoyed our stay here, the swimming pool was great. The service was very good, food was awesome (thanks Rani!). Would come again next time we visit Sri Lanka. Although the room was a bit small, but price-wise I think this is a very good option when visiting the Dambulla region.

First room allocated was pretty horrid, smelly and broken tap. Bitten to hell by mosquitos and tics in the bed. Moved rooms next day and the room was fine, just why we weren't allocated this on the first night as the hotel was empty. Our driver was allowed to stay there as well, something sadly not allowed in a number of hotels down south.

Amazing hotel in Dambulla. Superb experience. Superb service. Specially, foods was amazing. Photobooth place and pool are the best places in hotel. specially costs are friendly to pocket. I think overall excellent experience for me. Highly recommended for all. Thank you Sigiriya Kingdom Gate, hotel.

I had a one night stay (booked by Tour Company) in a ground floor room. The furniture was old and worn with twin beds instead of a double/queen. The bathroom was also dated with no hot water. It is far from town and gated so no options for on foot excursions around town. Room lighting was dim, but the air con unit was loud and its lights bright (kept me awake). No alcohol served/available. Dining room was grim, no greeting on arrival, interior painted black with low lighting, set menu for dinner, buffet breakfast was cold. Few other guests meant dining room was empty around when I ate. No music playing throughout my stay, no ‘holiday vibe’ at all. Staff were polite but would not recommended unless you’re looking for a dead quiet, remote experience of Sri Lanka.

I gave 5 🌟 for this amazing creation that is Sigiriya built in the 5th century. I give a ZERO to the ticket counters, to security checking tickets, etc. We were refused entry as they wanted our identity cards, only i had and not my sister nor niece. They had no choice than to pay the foreign ticket fee to enter. No notice anywhere to state the identity drama. Ticket offices were closing too for the day. Not a single person was courteous but arrogant instead. I have escalated this to the Minister of Tourism, Sri Lanka. Will tourists want to come back to Sri Lanka??? Do you actually want tourists to come back for more of this or run a mile?

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing,Friendly and helpful staff.. Highly recommended meals were fantastic. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting To Dambulla & Sigiriya.

Hotel pool was great and rooms spacious with lovely view. The negative was food is not palatable. Hosts are great but can improve the quality of food. Thanks to the huge icecream jug that filled our empty tummies.

Highly recommend, the food was amazing and loads to choose from. The location is beautiful with amazing views from balcony. The staff were lovely, especially Priyantha who was an amazing host, all staff were helpful and happy including Aruna and Dinesh. Recommend tuk tuk driver Kamara who took us to some special spots off the beaten track. All made our stay very special, thank you!
