I had booked a room on the hotels own website and received a confirmation. All fine I thought, not knowing how chaotic this hotel was. When I arrived I was told that the booking had been cancelled. No apology, no offer for an alternative accommodation, not even the offer to help. Only after I stubbornly insisted to get a room, the lady at the checkin counter agreed to find an alternative. Which she did, in another hotel a bit outside the center, but she expected me to pay 30% extra, as the alternative room was more expensive. Stubbornness paid off again, I got the alternative room for the original price. The claim, hotel staff speaks English, French, Spanish, is a wish, in the best of cases. French they speak, Google the other languages. One extra remark: In reality the hotel look nowhere near as nice as on the photographs
