Laiye Moganshan Designer Private Tang Homestay (Yucun Square)

The room was spartan and felt very cheap, with damaged and unmaintained facilities. Worst of all, both the in-room wall-mounted AC and the central air conditioning were incredibly loud, making it utterly impossible to sleep. This was the worst guesthouse stay we've ever experienced. Furthermore, the price was exorbitant, offering terrible value for money. This genuinely tarnishes Moganshan's reputation as China's premier guesthouse destination, and it absolutely deserves a negative review.

We were very satisfied! The staff were exceptionally helpful and even assisted us with our laundry. The breakfast's mixed noodles were incredibly delicious. The swimming pool was also fantastic, and our kids had a wonderful time.

The Wabi-sabi style courtyard is breathtaking; every step reveals a new picturesque scene. It's so photogenic, even a casual snap looks like a movie still. Being lulled to sleep by the birdsong and the gentle stream is incredibly therapeutic!

Let's start with the positives: 1. I particularly appreciated that the staff was very understanding and agreed to cancel one of our rooms when my friend's plans changed just 40 minutes after booking. 2. The freshly made scallion oil noodles for breakfast were delicious and aromatic, prepared by an auntie. 3. They offered a good variety of fresh and delicious fruits in the common area, available for guests to help themselves. 4. The location is great, very close to Yuzun Village, with convenient transportation, especially for guests without a car. However, there were several issues: 1. During the Dragon Boat Festival, only two staff members (an auntie and an uncle) seemed to be working. The uncle often sat slouched in the lobby, glued to his phone, not even shifting when guests were taking photos. This made me question the B&B's operational standards. Additionally, WeChat communication was often delayed, making it hard to get timely responses. 2. In the 'Starry Sky' room, the drain made a loud, persistent running water noise for about half an hour after showering each night, significantly disrupting my sleep. 3. The bedding quality was mediocre, and the pillows were far too high, making them very uncomfortable. 4. The room had a master power switch that needed to be on for individual switches to function. I wasn't informed of this, resulting in my phone not charging at all overnight – a truly peculiar and inconvenient design. 5. A protruding wall section right outside the room entrance was an eyesore, really detracting from the overall aesthetic. Overall, while the room showed signs of a designer's input, the quality and attention to detail were quite subpar. Frankly, it's one of the worst B&Bs I've stayed in, and I absolutely cannot recommend it.

Fantastic location! It's just a short walk to the attractions. The proprietress was incredibly kind and welcoming. Absolutely loved it! It truly felt like a home away from home.

Facilities: Despite being a relatively new property, it already shows significant wear and tear. There were visible cracks on the walls and floors, and the sound insulation was very poor. Cleanliness: We noticed some stains in various corners of the room, which detracted from the overall appearance. There's significant room for improvement in this area. Location/Ambiance: The location is quite good, being very close to Yuncun Plaza. However, the view from the window was quite ordinary. Service: The service was excellent. However, the breakfast was just average.

The guesthouse owner provided excellent service and was very responsive, always quick to resolve any issues. The lady working at the guesthouse was also incredibly kind; she even prepared fruit for us and helped us with our luggage. Overall, the room was comfortable, but the pillows and duvets had some stains, which I hope can be improved for future guests.

I was pleased with the room, and the bedding was very comfortable. The service was incredibly thoughtful; they even turned on the AC before our arrival and highlighted local dining options. It's absolutely ideal for a small weekend getaway.

This designer B&B is incredibly Instagrammable. Its location near Yushu Square makes dining, drinks, and entertainment super convenient. Overall: Small yet exquisite.
