We were travelling in a group and were looking to book multiple rooms, and this hotel came up rated as "good". The rooms did look dated in the photos, but we could live with dated as long as it was clean. Check-in was a bit strange, not a word of English was spoken and we were also required to provide our parents' names, which is presumably a local requirement for security reasons. In such situations, I recommend going with "Charles and Camilla". Here are my observations: - The floor carpets, bed and mattress appeared to not have been updated since the 1970s/1980s. - The bathroom floor was wet, which is never a good first impression. - The toilet seat was broken and there were remnants from the previous guest on the underside of the toilet seat that definitely shouldn't have been there. - The shower cubicle had a lot of black mould. Toiletries were useless but the water pressure was really good. - The TV was plugged in but had no antenna connection, so that was useful... - There was a kettle in the room but no coffee, tea or even cups. There were sachets of sugar though, which on their own were not particularly useful. - The AC unit dripped water whenever it was turned on. - There is a mosque right across the road from the hotel, so expect to be abruptly woken up for early-morning prayer. - Breakfast is provided but is extremely sad and basic. Overall, lack of hygiene was the main issue. Do not stay here, you'll regret it.

The heaters were not working, it was an icy room. There was no hot water for a shower. Air conditioning and TV were not working. The breakfast is terrible, in short, I will stay out and will not stay in that hotel again.

You are in the heart of the walled area. 5-10 minutes walking distance to everywhere. The hotel needs renovation. If you look with good intentions, you can find it as a decent accommodation. Consider it $50 USD per night.

It is a clean, comfortable, quiet spot with easy access to everywhere. Staff behavior and friendliness are very good.

The room was very dirty, the bed was bad, the breakfast was a disgrace. Three little girls were "serving". There was nothing noteworthy other than just eggs and bread. Hygiene is zero, whatever we wanted, we got the answer. I felt insulted.

The Caravanserai is nice and encourages you to stay there because the rest of the city is (very) filthy due to the combination of a cruel lack of infrastructure and above all a blatant and shocking incivility. Diyerbakir does not have much to offer other than its past (of which nothing remains after the earthquake) and a severe and lost wall in uninteresting neighborhoods. Daniel

Nothing in the room was working? The room smells like cigarette smoke. Breakfast is awful.

I bought a bed and breakfast. As shown on the site. Morning RAMADAN. I got the answer: WE DO NOT PROVIDE BREAKFAST. This information was not given at the entrance. The year is 2023. People, companies and institutions still do not fulfill their commi**ents for absurd reasons. It is wrong both humanly and religiously. I am on a journey, traveling all day, and I am sick and taking medication. What will I do without breakfast in this situation? Maybe I'm an atheist, maybe I'm not a Muslim, maybe I'm not a believer. Apart from that, the price of the hotel is slightly expensive, but the rooms are large, spacious, clean and comfortable.

Never found an employee. At check-in, it took a while for someone to show up and I left the hotel and on the sidewalk a gentleman answered me. He actually worked at the hotel. When it was time to leave, there was no one there. I left my key and left. There was a man lying on the armchair who I don't know if he was a security guard or what and he didn't understand or answer me. The hotel appears to be new, but the elevator looks dirty. The room also has several broken equipment: air conditioning, minibar, bathroom box. The shower is good, despite the frightening appearance. I didn't use breakfast so I don't know. If the idea is just to sleep one night, ok. But if you want a memorable stay, better look for another option.

Hotel well located near the center of the old town. Spacious and well-equipped room. Lighting in the room a little dim, we had to ask for a bulb change. Late breakfast (8am) and above all very insufficient in quantity and quality. Stale bread, a few cold fries served again the next day....no coffee, paper cups....the last day, we didn't even go to have it.
