The Hotel just opened and of course there are some adjustments to be made, but it has great potential and they really made an effort to make our stay lovely. The location is just perfect, it's less than 5 minutes walk from the gate of the Mingsha Mountain desert area and there are restaurants, snacks, a supermarket and a pharmacy nearby. It's also near the famous Leiyin Temple. Upon our arrival, we were upgraded to the garden room, with direct access to the swimming pool and the sand garden that has Jujube and Pear trees (they welcome you to pick the fruits and eat them, they are very sweet). The room has a private garden with reclining chairs and inside it is new with a modern style, the bed and pillows are super comfortable. It has a large fridge and a wall projector to watch your own media. The room's air is chill even without using the AC and very bright thanks to the big window. The management was very nice with us and gave us welcome presents and invited us to a live music show in the garden offering us beers. They managed a delivery for all the stuff we bought and wanted to ship back to Shanghai. Only little problem is that with the sand garden, it is very easy to bring sand inside the room, they will hopefully come up with a solution for that in the near future.

Yododo, Dunhuang was perfect for me as a solo traveller. It was a kilometer walk to Crescent spring and Mingshan sand dunes, which allowed me to visit this place twice; in the morning and night. The front desk was very friendly and also arranged a car that took me to Mogao grottoes and other surrounding attractions waited for me for the entire trip. Charged me 200 RMB for this. If required, you can also ask them for a car pick from Dunhuang railway station. Overall, convenient spot and helpful. There are plenty of food options outside the hotel, so not a problem.

The room is large and the facilities are relatively new. You have to take a taxi to go to Mogao Grottoes, Mingsha Mountain and the night market! The laundry and cleaning services are very good. Drinking water is provided. The mineral water in the room is basically unlimited. The breakfast is rich! The only drawback is that the attitude at the front desk is very average and lukewarm, maybe because there are so many people during National Day~

When we reached the top of the mountain, the staff rode desert motorcycles and took us to experience a very exciting sand washing route. In addition, we also tried sandboarding in the desert, which was equally unforgettable. After sunset, the exquisite meal and barbecue were ready. We also watched the fireworks and bonfires and felt the strong atmosphere of warmth and joy. When night falls, the starry sky is picturesque and breathtakingly beautiful. In the room we stayed in, the sheets and quilts were consistent with the hotel's standards, and it was very clean and comfortable. All this left us with unforgettable memories. The facilities in this room are really everything, just like staying in a normal hotel. What impressed me was that there was a fully transparent glass roof on the top of the tent, so we could lie on the bed, look up at the stars and enjoy the gorgeous starry sky.

The hotel is very new and all the staff have great service! Staying during the off-season during the Spring Festival is not slow. You can clearly see the hotel's care. The hotel is very close to Mingsha Mountain Crescent Spring and can be reached in ten minutes on foot. I am sweating when I come back from Mingsha Mountain. I can wash my clothes and dry them in the yard. It is really intimate. The hotel service was also very attentive. We returned to the room very late after visiting Mingsha Mountain. We called the front desk at 12 o'clock in the night and responded quickly. There are certainly shortcomings. If you mind that there is no natural light, it is not recommended to book, because the cave-themed room has no windows. In addition, breakfast is a bit far from where you live, and there are not many choices.
