Definitely an amazing hotel. The hotel was worth every cent. I loved that I was able to get an international plug when I needed one and that the staff was always willing to help. The breakfast OMG!!! We had an Amazing experience at the Holiday Inn Express, Umhlanga. This has to be one of the best service I've experienced (local and international included). Wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend this Establishment. Check in was awesome. Brendan and team were extremely Welcoming, Friendly and Efficient. We were settled into the room in no time as well as informed of all the amenities. We traveled as a group and the team helped us to get rooms close to each other which was so convenient. Breakfast was scrumptious and the service exceeded our expectations. Trisha and the team take their work and service to customers so seriously - like it's their own company. My son wanted Chocolate muffins and they baked it specially for him - how amazing is that! We were leaving early to the airport and Trisha offered to have breakfast ready from 5am - was so impressed and grateful. This has to be one of the best hotels across the world. Kudos to the team and leadership. Highly recommend anyone to not hesitate to book here. Thanks so much guys

For some of the best views in Umhlanga, try to secure a room on the top floor. Room 903 at The Premier Splendid Inn Umhlanga is seafacing & was absolutely fabulous with top decor. The deluxe suite is complete with living room & gorgeous bedroom with king size bed & a balcony. A huge luxurious bath tub with separate shower and all the frills made for a gorgeous pamper session. We ordered room service with delicious grub and experienced phenomenal service throughout our stay. Definitely a winner!

Excellent service from all the staff and the admin personnel (Nompumelelo) and her assistant they are very professional we had a great time. when we arrived on our first day our room were well prepared very clean, neat and smelling good. what we liked the most is the breakfast cooked with love the ladies who were preparing the breakfast were always punctual, wearing their uniform and good sense of humor. My children enjoyed playing in the pool they loved they rooms. Some of the days it was raining but it didn't stop us to enjoy our vacation we went out to do the indoor activities Pavilion shopping center.

Location is good enough if you are conducting business in and around the city of Durban and not expecting anything more than a very basic 3 star experience. Even so, the value for money is not great. Rooms are clean, but need a little TLC here and there. Colleagues said their beds were very uncomfortable, but I clearly got lucky, as my bed was very comfortable. If you order from the a la carte menu, be prepared to wait a long time for your food to arrive. Same applies to drinks orders. Seems as if they were still on skeleton staff post Covid, or maybe they were unprepared for the influx of people attending Indaba. IMO, City Lodge is much better value for money.

Forget that super fancy, very expensive hotel next door. You know the one. Stay here instead. The Beverly Hills is fantastic, and the location can’t be beat. We could walk to restaurants and feel very safe. The boardwalk / beachfront was connected to the hotel property (with a security guard offering cold water upon our return). There’s free parking on site, and the pool area, with shaded lounge chairs, is upscale and relaxing. The breakfast options were so ample and varied that it took us several walk-throughs just to determine what we should have (or where we should start!). The room was very pleasant, with robes, nice linens, and a convenient patio with table and chairs for comfortable ocean and people watching. We also had a perfect view of the gorgeous lighthouse. We really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect experience, and the Beverly Hills gave us everything we wanted or needed at a much more reasonable rate than the Oyster place next door. We can’t recommend the Beverly Hills highly enough!

Umhlanga is a beautiful location, it is safe, clean and easy going. There is a nearby beach 🏖 with an amazing whale bone pier and stunning views. The large gateway mall is a 7-10mins walk and is filled with all kinds of entertainment, food, shopping experiences you may need. The hotel service is good. Ultimate highlight of my trip was the pool 🏊‍♀️ clean and never busy.
