Across the road from the hotel is The Mound, connecting Princes Street to Old Town, and Edinburgh Castle and the famous Royal Mile are a short (but steep) 15 minute walk. Then it's homeward bound to a delicious meal with a castle view at our Thyme restaurant. Then get comfy in our luxury king-size Hypnos bed.Show More

When you open the hotel window, you can see the castle, and below is Edinburgh's garden fountain. The room is very new and has complete facilities. It will feel a little far to drag your luggage back from Aibo Railway Station. There is another Premier Inn hotel slightly closer to the train station. But the unexpected bonus is that it is very close to the rural village of Dean, and it takes 10-13 minutes to walk there through navigation. Stayed 2 nights in total. Most of the guests here are local British citizens, and I have never met any Chinese.

The hotel is in an excellent location, right on Princes Street. When you look up, you can see Edinburgh Castle. It is only a 5-minute walk away. It is the junction of the old and new towns. The hotel environment is good, but the cleaning service can't keep up. No one cleaned up after staying for two days.

Convenient transportation and easy access to various attractions. It is a relatively cost-effective hotel.

The location of the hotel is okay, the lighting in the room is very dark, there is a small piece of glass in the corner that cannot be opened, so there are almost no windows, the hotel has two price options for breakfast, the breakfast sold at the front desk (9 pounds) can only eat bread + drinks, other categories cannot be selected

I booked 6 hotels in the UK this time. This one is the one I am most satisfied with. The location is excellent, just on Princes Street, and it is easy to find. The breakfast provided by the hotel is an authentic English breakfast, which is very rich and tastes good ,recommend.

The website was not clear enough for this specific hotel. I've booked a double bed room and it was confirmed. When I checked in the room was very small and narrow I can't even put my luggages in. I asked for a bigger room or to be transferred to my usual preimer inn hotel in royal mile. It was not possible so I got transferred to a larger room but one bed instead of twin because this hotel does not offer any twin room which they did not make it clear on the website. Premier inn "PLUS" means extra facilities which I did not get any of them. No phone, no kettle , no coffee machine, no fridge.o I'm not sure what facilities they mean.

Stayed for four nights and was very happy with our stay. The room was on the fifth floor, was hoping to have faced the castle but we didn’t, instead facing an internal courtyard sort of thing, it was very quiet. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable with extra pillows and even more requested from reception. However a couple of the pillows were lumpy. The aircon worked well and was quiet. The bathroom was a good size and the shower gels were very nice. The location was very convenient, about a 10 minute walk to the station, 15 up to the castle, 10 to grass market and a couple of minutes on to rose street where you’ll find lots of bars and restaurants. On the negative side, the shower water pressure wasn’t great, there wasn’t much hanging space. We would return.

Had an excellent stay at the Premier Inn Princes Street in late April. Hotel is in an excellent location in the New Town with a view of the castle on leaving the hotel; is close to Princes Street tram stop and Waverley Station and to be honest not far from anywhere. All staff were friendly and helpful and as to be expected from Premier Inn the room was comfortable, clean and functional. Had breakfast both days which was excellent with a variety of choice and again good service. My only gripe which is incredibly petty and small is that the toilet paper comes out in single pieces and isn't particularly soft but this really is a minor point. Overall an excellent stay in a great city in a great hotel.
