Booked this hotel based on good reviews, and it did not disappoint! We walked from Waverly to hotel with 3 huge luggages, it is not far but it is hilly so choose the path that does not involve stairs. Check-in and out is VERY efficient, just mention your name and they will immediately escort u to your apartment. Saw previous reviews saying receptionist is not friendly, but honestly I think they are being efficient and that is just what I needed after a 20-hour journey. I booked the open plan 1-bedroom apartment for us 2 adults and 2 kids. Room is at ground floor with the entrance from outside walkway directly to the living room. This means people walking outside your room will be able to see you, but there are curtains and blinds to block those views. The bedroom does not have doors though, just an entrance from hallway. The apartment is very homey and comfortable to us, we cooked almost every meal, being fully equipped. It has dining table comfortable for 4, and efficient layout. Bathroom is perfect size with sufficient hot water. Heater is working very well. Location is very close to famous victoria street, and near the famous stairs filmed in “One Day”. Used the laundry service and is good. Sainsbury local nearby with 4 mins walk. Overall satisfied and highly recommend.

The location is very good, very close to the castle, 10 minutes walk, but the hotel does not have a big front desk like other hotels. I didn't recognize at first glance that a desk + a laptop was the front desk, and I almost missed the hotel entrance. The bedroom was smaller than expected, but fortunately there was a small living room. We brought three suitcases, two 26-inch suitcases and one boarding suitcase, so we had to divide the suitcases into two rooms. The kitchen is the smallest kitchen I have ever seen, I should say it is cute.

The hotel is right next to Edinburgh Castle. You can see the castle from the room window, and the location is very convenient. The room was spacious, clean and fully equipped. There is a large public parking lot across the bridge next to the hotel. It is convenient for self-driving. However, the parking fee is a bit expensive. When I asked the hotel, they did not say there was a guest discount. It is not a big deal and it is still worth recommending.

Very clean with full necessities. Friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient location.

Stayed for 5 days; not even one day was cleaned even when requested. Will not stay again in the future
