Peace... Just chilling and ultra peaceful - those are the words that comes to mind when I think of our time at Xanatseni. We were lucky enough to enjoy this camp with a whole bunch of our friends, but - if truth be told - I wish we had at least stayed another night, if not 2... Everything was just so laid back and it felt like we were visiting old friends, not as guests, but as lifelong friends! And we had NEVER met these people before! We arrived late after a crazy busy week - totally flustered - and we were worried that we would have made them late for a game drive or something. But our hosts (Zanel & Iwan) were SO welcoming and made us relax immediately - they got us settled in with zero fuss and organised us some drinks at the pool. (Something that was ultra awesome was that they had a shaded area over the shallow part of the pool so the moms with toddlers - or snow white like me! - could also enjoy the pool without worrying about burning on day 1!) We were introduced to everyone and we just felt at home instantly! We were I formed that dinner was to be a "braai" aka BBQ outside and we were escorted to a game viewer with some drinks packed for along the way...but NOTHING could prepare us for the awesome views! I wish I could tell you about EVERYTHING that we saw and did....but there is just too much! Oh, and the attention to detail...their bath and shower gels are TRULY TO DIE FOR!!!! I have been around the world and I can say with confidence that their bath/shower gel is just OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! It smells AMAZING!!! And just small things: I always get thirsty at night and creeper back to the bar after everyone had gone to sleep (or so I thought) because I needed some water - but I actually had NO IDEA where I was going and ran into Iwan! He IMMEDIATELY helped me out with 4 bottles of water! We also came within 1 metre of a massive hyena and we simply had THE MOST MEMORABLE New Year's Eve ever! Travel advice regarding this camp? Don't forget your battery pack and your charger - your phone battery won't last with all the pictures that you would be taking! It is a GREAT camp to visit with friends, as it is not too big and you can book out the entire camp for yourselves...oh, just remember that you are going to be SEVERELY relaxed and that you might only realise how much you needed to rest once you get there, and then you'll want to sleep too much! Rather book AT LEAST 1 more night than you'd have planned, otherwise you'll DEFINITELY be sorry. You don't realise how tired you are until you get there...and you get SERIOUS FOMO!!! It's like you want to sleep 24/7 because you are relaxing for the first time in a long time, yet, you want to stay awake 24/7 for fear of missing something! I LOOOVE my sleep, but I forced myself to stay awake as much as possible, since in the daytime there was just too much happening, and at night, I couldn't stop looking at the shooting stars or I was listening to the bush or a guides' bushtales or we were tellin
