Checked in and headed up to the room. It was Mom, Sis and me. I booked a 3 queen suite. It has 2 beds in the main area and 1 in a bedroom. Started in Rm 200. Walked in and it was obvious the AC wasn't working in the main room. The bedroom AC was working. We called the front desk and they sent maintenance up. Took about 15 minutes for them to decide it was broken. They left and we waited another 15 minutes but didn't hear anything. Mom called down and they had already changed our booking to another room, identical to the one we were in. Manager and Security came and helped us move. New room was nice and cool. Both rooms had a TV. Room has a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. The rooms are showing their age, peeling wallpaper for example. Some upgrades like the carpet and alarm clocks. Lastly, the beds are very firm.

There is a parking lot, it is old. After driving from West Yellowstone, I drove to San Francisco. It was too tired to stay here. There were quite a few things to eat nearby. The broth of the Chinese restaurant next to the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast is there, breakfast is good. Ctrip is more than 500. I brushed my $49 on the spot and repeated the charges. Later, I told the Ctrip that I had a refund. It can be cheaper to pull down.

Super staff. Check in and digital door key worked great. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. Pet friendly which is a requirement for us. We enjoyed the simple European style decor a lot. The temperature/heating and cooling were quiet and functional. We appreciate the coffee, it was very good. The remainder of the breakfast was filling but bland. And short on nutritious adds like half and half. There is plenty of parking and it is one of the quietest places we have stayed in.

I road trip a lot with my dog so have stayed at many Motel 6s around the country. Some are quite nice, some are not so great. This one is in the not so great category. The outside of the motel is rundown and looks seedy...looks like the type of place crimes are committed. It was only missing police tape across a hotel door to complete the look. The inside of my room stunk of overly perfumey air freshener, it seemed dirty even if it was just cleaned. The shower looked filthy (I didnt even end up taking one because of it) and the walls in the room had dirt on them. I checked the sheets, seemed clean, I went to bed and was up at 4am to leave again. The guest wifi did not work either. I could not wait to leave this place. The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because the guy at the front desk was so nice. This Motel 6 is off of Interstate 80 which I travel on a lot across country. Surprisingly I had never stayed at this Motel 6 before and never will again. Like I said, I could not wait to leave.
