The room is dated and requires a lot of maintenance. The fridge was not working, one of the light fittings was hanging off the wall and not all of the lights were working. Just before going to sleep there was a drip from the roof. I advised reception and they sent someone up. Unfortunately it could not be repaired and a bucket had to be placed under the drip. The hotel was full so they advised we could not be moved. This drip went on through the night. Very uncomfortable stay

Great location for the beach. Room was pretty run down but had a view of the canal. Pool was great. AC only came on at certain times.

Stayed in room 506 overall seemed nice to begin with. There was a mistery stain on one of the sheets but the reception which is located over the road was shut so couldnt alert staff till the morning. The rooms were 'cleaned' daily and all seemed fine untill we checked out and realsied we had bed bugs, we'd noticed bites but thought they were mosquitoes but upon opening luggage on return home our bags were filled with them.

We have stayed at this lovely hotel on a number of occasions.Service is first rate and the staff are great.The room in the main building was spotless and well maintained.A nice bar and a good location and a great price, what`s not to like,we will be back

Hi folks, We live in Empuriabrava, so frequently visit restaurants and bars in town. The Irish pub at Portofino is the very best. Excellent draught beer served in chilled glasses, olives and other snacks are served with drinks. Large bar inside with pub decor (worth visiting!) outside booths offer sun in the late afternoons. Excellent music (albeit at times a bit loud.) Now then, the restaurant... we have never, ever been treated so poorly in Empuriabrava. The waiter was rude from the minute we arrived till our departure. We felt extremely unwelcome. (We spoke french with him, so there was no misunderstanding.) The food was overcooked and clearly there was nothing that was prepared in the kitchen. In addition, our lunch cost 71 euros. One can eat for half the price with much better quality in many of the local restaurants. So our advice, drink in the bar and head out for eats!

There were many things broken or not in good condition. There was a leak in the ceiling of the bathroom, the vanity would not drain well, a light in the bathroom and another one in the room need to be replaced, a pillowcase was stained, the curtain was broken, the hair dryer was installed incorrectly so we could not use it, there was mold in the shower corners, the shower head was taped to the rod so it could not be raised or lowered. Light bulbs in a couple of corridors were blinking. There is an obvious disregard to maintain/repair the property. I have pictures of all this in case management wants to look at them.

it has a nice view from rooms to the canal/water in which you can see boats parqued outside rooms or apartments. it is clean.

Noise all night, could not sleep, other users complaining about the noise in the hallways. Friendly staff and good breakfast, they offered it to us for the inconvenience. Nice place, good pool, comfortable, close to restaurants, a shame about the rude people in the same hallway.
