The Wanderoo Lodge

We had a great time. Everyone was real friendly. Cabin was clean and had everything we needed.

We had a great time at Wanderoo - the staff was warm and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The property is very charming. Would absolutely recommend.

I wanted to love this place but if you support historic, quirky old properties, don’t chose this. PROS: pet friendly & convenient location. But so is the charming remodeled Best Western across the street, where parking is ample and staff is professional. CONS: amenities listed for room (desk, iron, housekeeping) don’t exist. Amenities you take for granted like comfortable, ample bedding, bath mat, housekeeping, outlets and places to hang clothes and wet towels, a parking space, documentation showing room charges & policies, desk staff to check in/out, locking windows/doors, a sink stopper, GFCI outlet in the bath/any outlet at all in the bath, exhaust fan in bath…all nonexistent. Also expect to be chided and charged more if you book through ******* after trying to book directly showed no vacancy. The best thing about this place is their advertising and the youngest lady on staff. But all the attention went into campy claims, not actually providing a clean, comfortable and well-lit basic room with what travelers need: a decent mattress & pillows, sturdy lounge chair, outlets for everything in the room plus guest’s needs, a place for luggage so not on the musty carpet, a place for used towels, a place for toiletries in the bath, a place to park when you return after a long day—and even if plain all should be clean and in good repair. There are just too many better options at this price and location to risk your vacation time here.

The Gravel bar food and service were excellent. The bed in my room was comfortable. The owner and staff were friendly and helpful. If I had a critique, it would be to put better lighting in the rooms. Also, the swimming pool was drained and had nasty water in the bottom of it. I would stay again.

The staff is phenomenal, the fire pit, restaurant & live band were just the right touches for our night away in Eureka. However, I noticed a few of the rooms are upgraded, while we were in a room still did it to the 70s and not in the best condition. (And for the same price?) The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold, and would change on its own dime, without you touching the knobs. There was absolutely no water pressure and the worst part, was the AC kicking on and off sporadically. Leaving us sweating most of the night. This made for a rough nights rest. The bar and restaurant looked to be amazing, but after a $12 small drink, we opted for something else a little more affordable.. All in all, the staff, fire pit, and good times with friends made this a fun night, but unfortunately, we won’t stay here again 😔

Everything was spot on! Special shout out to the receptionist who was so very lovely and kind, we even added an additional night to our stay. Must stop by the Gravel Bar - just all around a super laid back and chill vibes

This is a cool little hotel that is like taking a step back in time. With that said, it does not have a lot of amenities you would expect for the price. It could definitely use some improvements or maybe the price should come down. Hard to justify how much I spent to stay there other than it was close to the Volkswagen show. It was super cute the the staff was super helpful. There is a bar and grill on site which was nice. We enjoyed swimming in the afternoon and sitting around the fire pit at night. Great location.

Nice little motel with a decent pool, good bed even though worn and a great little bar and restaurant especially for $70 a night plus tax. IT is a cool place

Staff was so friendly, good people at the bar, local music, the pool was nice and it was salt water. I would definitely come back
