2 nights in the "Cheeky Monkey" treehouse. "Cheapest" category. The hut: less than 6 square meters with 2 bunk beds. Four people can hardly stand inside. When someone uses the stairs, everything shakes. You can hear neighbors and passers-by (the huts are right next to the restaurant) until 1 a.m., as if there were no wall. The roof is so low that even the children in the upper bunks were constantly hitting their heads. The tiny room heats up incredibly. On the second night, our youngest child felt really sick from the stuffy heat. We then opened the door and preferred the mosquitoes to circulatory collapse. We would never dare to turn on the "Russian" mounted heater above the window. Cleanliness: a disaster. Years of toads have been pecking in the joints of the logs, and there are also cobwebs and toads hanging in the roof. The washrooms are dirty, it smells of mold, disgusting shower curtains. We made do with the shower by the pool and brushed our teeth in the restaurant toilet. The toilet there is only marginally better. When we arrived, there were brown marks of dirt on a mussel. Two days later, they were still there. The food was cheap, average stuff. Tasted bland and, for example, the pasta was overcooked. Everything wasn't even lukewarm. One evening, the soft ice cream ran out after a short time and was not replaced. The staff are nice and can't help it. The hard-working evening entertainer is from Ukraine(?), the ladies at the buffet are from Asia. Big communication problems, even in English. You get the impression that they are looking for the cheapest staff possible from far away. The pool is not particularly clean, but that was the best part of the visit. Loungers made of wood (hard) or bamboo (almost all more or less broken). The park itself seemed unloving to us. The idea of the dinosaurs had potential, but everything just seemed somehow put together and worn out. The "information boards" are full of mistakes, as if someone had simply run English text through a translation program. The "volcanic eruption" (a small splash of water) bored even four-year-olds. The program is certainly OK for small children, who are easier to entertain, but they could do a lot more with it. The highlight was the construction site: something large made of wood is being built right next to the restaurant. The machines start at 6 a.m. Yes, construction sites often start early, but in a tourist business I would show a little consideration for the guests. We often camp too, we don't mind the "camping feeling". But every well-run campsite has a better offer. Perhaps the more expensive rooms with private bathrooms are better. We can only advise against the "cheeky monkey" category. Because we read the many complaints in the reviews of the park about the operators' reaction to criticism, we didn't say anything. We definitely won't be visiting the park and the tree hotel again.
