I have two main complaints about my stay. First let me stay that is appears that the hotel is in the process of being renovated, and if that is the case, then these issues can be easily fixed. The first and most noticeable issue was the very large stain on the carpet. It was in front of the fridge, so it looks as if some previous guest may have dropped something--while the carpet itself appeared to be clean, the stain was certainly unsightly. The next issue, and the one that was probably the most problematic was the curtains. There was no possible way to pull them across the window to block out the light from outside. Even if there had been. they were floor length and covered the air/heat unit. A few other things that I noticed that really did not apply to my stay was that the floor was almost constantly wet from the indoor pool; not just wet, but puddles of water everywhere leading to the elevator. The floor in the elevator, which was carpet was also drenched. This can be easily fixed by removing the carpet in the elevator. Other than these two issues, it was an average stay. Breakfast was limited, as expected but the offerings weren't bad. All in all I would give this hotel another chance, hopefully with improved conditions. I didn't have much interaction with the staff other than check in and check out, and it was efficient and quick. They were polite and matter of fact. The parking lot was a bit on the small side, but it was a pretty quiet area.

Booked 13 nights for a business trip. Noticed swollen bites between my 8th and 10th nights, and was able to find and film bed bugs on the bed. Went to manager, showed him the bites and the video. Mike Patel is his name. With no apologies, just asked my room number and informed me they didn’t have any clean king rooms that morning. I said I did not need a king room, just a CLEAN room. Got moved to second floor and he proceeded to tell me that their protocol is to refund only 3 nights. I called Hilton, the rep said to send pictures to their email. I did so and waited 24 hrs. At the lack of replies, the company is was working for in town, called Hilton the second day and was told they would check back with the Hotel. That afternoon received an email from Hilton, that I did not need to pursue reporting the issue to the health dept and that the hotel would take care of it. Due to this, my boss called the manager directly and demanded full refund as it was clear at this time that Hilton was avoiding to do so and to take responsibility to report the unsanitary rooms. Mike Patel refused to comply with full refund, alleging I did not report the bites the first day I noticed one. He also implied to my boss I had brought the bed bugs to Hampton. Needless to say, I left work, picked up my belongings, had very strong words I should have spoke to Mike Patel the very first day, got my full refund in return to my words, and left that place NEVER TO RETURN. Beware! I cannot express this enough: Mike Patel is worse that the bed bugs he has in his hotel, and believe me, they were nasty but he is by far more disgusting. Elkhart Health Dept has been notified and Hilton Management as well. No hopes on resolution from Hilton but expecting Elkhart Health Dept to step in.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Goshen

We've been going to this hotel about 6 times a year for the last 2 years - hoping it would get better. Its still ”under construction”. We finally gave up after this last trip. We were on the third floor, it was raining, and pretty soon it was dripping on us as we laid in the bed. The lock on the door on our room was broken, the bathtub stopper didn't work and the refrigerators didn't work. So we called the front desk to move. All 3 of the rooms we tried to move to had broken locks, broken bathtub and the refrigerators didn't work. So we selected the last of the rooms the suggested since at least it wasn't leaking. In the morning when we talked with the front desk, they explained it was ”under construction” and that we should have expected these things..... Oh, and the pool was closed. Yep, won't be going back there.

It was my daughter (18 month old), my husband and I who stayed at this Quality Inn & Suites. We drove in from Wisconsin. Upon arriving (between 9 - 10pm), it took 5 - 10 minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk. The gentleman was very calm and polite. He assigned us our room and as we entered we were beyond grossed out. There were stains on the bedding near the end of the bed and corner of the bed. It was pretty clear that the bedding was used recently and probably never cleaned. The floor left our socks black. The bathroom wasn't as terrible, but definitely not great. The water pressure was very low. I asked my husband if I should call and request a different room and he said we would just take the bedding off the bed and just deal for the night. We were all so tired from the drive and our daughter was getting a little impatient. The beds were not terribly uncomfortable and the breakfast the next morning was okay.
