The front desk is not very friendly but the service in the restaurant is very good and the breakfast is great

The location of the hotel is good and the facilities are quite satisfactory.

Fantastic stay here paid for the upgraded room 207 stunning views huge room king size bed lovely bathroom . We had champagne on arrival which was nicely chilling in ice bucket. Lovely chilled spa pool steam room and sauna. We had excellent meal in the evening. Lovely cooked breakfast with high quality produce . Lovely 4 mile walk right from hotel in Loughrigg terrace. We will be back .

Great staff, from Vanedsa on reception to all the lovely wsiting on staff and chamber maids. Worth paying a bit extra for the view. Lovely big bed and very clean room. A proper adjustable shower, great for washing long hair...or not...yoyr choice! Hotel decor kept in good order. Great breakfast and really good quality of food evenings in the dining room. Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to stay: the lakeside grounds were beautiful, the room was lovely with a huge and comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom, the spa was wonderfully relaxing, and the staff were wonderful. There's ample parking and it's walking distance into Grasmere itself. We didn't manage to eat dinner as they were fully booked before our arrival, which was a slight disappointment, but we had the bar menu one night, which was lovely.

I stayed here the second time. It’s a lovely, clean place with a beautiful surroundings of the lake and the mountains. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The spa is clean and comfortable. The massages are good. We had dinner here for one night and was super delicious. The breakfast was great too. Overall, it’s a feel good experience . Will return definitely!!

Had a lovely 2-night stay at the Daffodil. Location is perfect, a quick stroll into the main town of Grasmere but far enough out that it’s quiet. Room was bright and clean, breakfast was delicious and the spa area was lovely. I treat myself to a massage while staying here and Aimee did a great job sorting out my back and neck. There are printed sheets in the reception area with detailed walks; we did a couple of these which were great considering we wanted to go somewhere neither of us had been before. Would definitely stay here again, we were both sad to leave!

This is a second stay for me and first for my husband. Hotel is clean, food is lovely and spa treatments are amazing. All restaurant staff are so kind and friendly. On check in we were asked about breakfast times, I understand why they do it but hard to gauge. Spa treatment with Leah was lovely, she was very professional and it was very relaxing. The first room we had looked onto a dirty roof, I had called prior to see how much an upgrade was and then I received a call, then I asked on check in and was given 3 different prices. We took the upgrade as it was a special occasion.

We recently stayed at The Daffodil for my 40th birthday, expecting a luxurious experience, but were left disappointed. While the massage at the spa was enjoyable, the overall spa facilities were lacking and did not provide the relaxing environment we anticipated. The room was below par, with no proper dressing area, an uncomfortable mattress, and a chipped bed frame. The only notable feature was the view of the lake, which did not compensate for the lack of comfort and amenities.Our dining experience was mixed; the main course was delightful, but the starter and dessert were very disappointing. However, the staff at the restaurant were exceptionally nice and attentive, which was a highlight. Overall, the experience did not justify the high cost, and we believe significant improvements are needed in the room quality, spa facilities, and dining consistency to meet guests' expectations.

Excellent mini break. Stunning location, friendly and effective service, good food and super comfortable beds.

Had a lovely 1 night stay with a voucher we were given. The hotel is lovely. The staff are friendly, especially the reception staff. The breakfast was one of the best we've had! Hoping we'll be given another voucher at some point so we can go again

The hotel is amazing. Staff are great. The afternoon tea at the hotel was the best i’ve ever had. However, the mattress was very uncomfortable. And breakfast needed more options.

Just returned from a 5 night stay and from arrival to departure we could not fault the hotel & service we received from all the staff. Food & drinks excellent value for money. Spa treatments by Leah would highly recommend. Looking forward to returning again later in the year
