Pettigru Place Bed & Breakfast

My wife & I stayed for 2 weekend nights at Pettigru Place B&B to end a 12-day pleasure tour of the Southeast. Our lodging bar was set very high by our previous lodging spots, and Pettigru Place easily measured up with its beautiful front gardens & attractively furnished interiors & a comfortable Queen guest room (Hummingbird) & flavorful unique breakfasts. Randi greeted us on our arrival, and her levels of friendliness & hospitality were amazing; she also prepared our breakfasts, which were delicious & filling with lots of healthy variety. The owner Lori served us both mornings, while she made sure guests were introduced to one another & provided very helpful information about local attractions. We had chosen this B&B for its proximity to Bon Secours Wellness Arena, offering us a short walk to & from the facility on consecutive days/nights to attend sporting events. The rear private parking lot off a quiet alleyway was a very convenient option for vehicle security & access whenever we drove around town, and the side door entry allowed for easy in & out of the house. Our experiences @ Pettigru made us wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the comfort & solitude without being on a schedule. Every aspect of our stay was top notch, and we would definitely stay at Pettigru Place B&B again if we returned to Greenville.

We had a wonderful two day stay at the Pettigru! Lori and her staff are simply wonderful. They went the extra mile making sure we were comfortable and well cared for. On arrival, we went over the breakfast menu and I let them know of my food intolerances. I had a wonderful breakfast and on day two there, I even found some cookies made special order for me in our room. They didn't have to do that! It sure was appreciated though. Great place. Warm and homey.

Lodging at Pettigru Place is an experience, not just a stay. Lori and her Staff are simply amazing. We choose Pettigru Place each year and have always had an absolutely amazing time. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor. As usual breakfast was delicious. Everyone went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble.

It was very nice being back at the Pettigru Place again. Thankful that the Giraffe Room on the first floor was available because of Donna's bad knees. Meeting new guests is always a joy to experience. The breakfast each morning was marvelous as usual. The White Pineapple from Hawaii I brought with me was a huge hit with everyone. I throughly enjoyed the afternoon snack with a glass of red wine. The Peppermint Hot Chocolate was very good with breakfast. The homemade chocolate chip cookies were awesome. Just want to say thank you once again for another excellent and enjoyable visit. Lori and Randi you are welcome. Glad you enjoyed the Pineapple.

OK - let's get real. Ms. Lori runs a phenomenal B&B. We enjoyed it so much, we were fortunate that we could stay (availability) a 3rd night! The rooms were incredibly comfortable for starters, the afternoon, and evening hours wine selection was perfect. Now let's talk about the Breakfast! The breakfast menu for each of the mornings were nothing short of Stunning!! Starting with fruit selections followed by 2 other Entrees. Stuffed French Toasts, sliced apples topped with Ice Cream. Who doesn't like ice cream to get you started? Of the 3 breakfasts at Pettigru Place - All were exceptionally well done. Finally, location, walking distance to downtown Greenville made this the perfect place to stay for a few nights, coupled with all of the other eating establishments and walking trails.

Me and my husband stayed 2 nights and enjoyed the atmosphere and time of relaxation. Our room was the Rosemand which was so beautiful with a fire place and a large bathroom with a deep tub and separate shower available. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was unique and so so delicious each morning! Our host was hospitable and even had fresh baked cookies upon arrival waiting in our rooms. Ice, can soda, water, and coffee were all available at our disposal. They served a time of cheese and wine in the afternoon. The location was close enough to walk into the city of Greenville which we did. The grounds were kept beautiful and I can only imagine how pretty it is in the spring. Our bedroom was found very clean and up kept nicely. We could receive room service if we so needed which we did not during our stay. We highly recommend, especially to those couples looking for a nice getaway to wind down and relax.

This Inn is close to downtown Greenville and offers an exceptional bed and breakfast experience. Easy parking in the rear of building. Check in easy complete with overview of staying at the inn with suggestions from staff on what to explore and great dinner recommendations. Homemade cookies in your room and coffee and beverage station on second floor. The breakfast is amazing, plentiful and served in the cozy dining room with two time slots for your convenience. Very clean with beautiful gardens but wasn’t the right time of year to appreciate them. Offers nice outdoor space for warmer weather. We will absolutely return to this lovely inn again!

We stayed two wonderful nights at the Pettigru Place B & B. The home is exquisite in its artistry; how it is decorated, the paintings and pictures on the wall, the plants and flowers outside and the wonderful, beautifully prepared breakfasts. Lori truly has an artistic talent that is reflected throughout the home in every way. Beyond that, Lori and Randi showed great hospitality in their greeting, their introductions of other guests,and their assistance in answering our questions. Pettigru Place is clean and well kept in all regards. And further, its in the pleasant Pettigru Historic District of Greenville, and easy walk to the active and fun downtown area which is filled with great restaurants and stores. The front of the Bed and Breakfast is planted beautifully with three nice sitting areas to enjoy the gardens. And on top of it all, the cookies that were there in our room on arrival were absolutely delicious. We will be back to visit Pettigru and enjoy the hospitality of Lori and the team there.

Stunning, unique, historical home that felt like I was staying in a fairytale book. I dined like a Queen every morning, and made friends chatting in the dining room. This is the kind of experience that people should be having when they travel. The place where it feels like home away from home. I hope to be back again soon.
