excellent location and view, worth a try

The hotel is located on the mountain in the small town of Grindelwald, and the surrounding environment is not bad. We checked in to a room on the third floor. I bumped my head when I looked up in the bedroom at night, and I had to bend my head the whole time I took a shower (I stayed for three nights and bumped my head more than ten times). This hotel does not recommend the third-floor room. It’s too confusing. I recommend choosing a face-to-face room. Room facing the town side. The bed board in the hotel room was partially empty. It collapsed when I sat on it on the first day. I installed it briefly and then let my daughter sleep here. The room is quite spacious and can be used for cooking. The hotel charges per person (remember to select the number of people when booking). Picture 1, Picture 2 and Picture 3 are the scenery outside the window sill, Picture 4 is the view of the hotel when you go up the mountain, Picture 5 is the driving path, which is about a little more than one meter, and Picture 6 is the scenery outside the hotel. Personally, I feel that there is a big gap between the price of the hotel and the experience of staying there. The bedding quality is not as good as that of All Seasons and Hanting in China. Driving requires some driving skills.

The location of the hotel is very good and convenient. It gave me a big surprise. The service attitude of the hotel was thoughtful and considerate, which gave me a good experience. The breakfast was rich and satisfied my Chinese stomach. The dinner was also delicious😋 and the price was reasonable. And the portion is very generous, which is really convenient compared to the restaurants at the foot of the mountain.

The breakfast was very good, but the location of the room was a bit remote and the view was much worse. There is a steep slope when getting off the train, and it is very difficult to walk up, which is equivalent to climbing a mountain. I don’t know if there is any discrimination against us. I stayed abroad for half a month and stayed in six hotels. Without exception, I was assigned rooms on the second floor, and the room types were the worst. There is nothing bad about the hotel, but it may be due to the location and floor (I checked, most of the rooms in the hotel are facing the mountain view, only one or two rooms are side facing, and I am on the bottom floor of the side facing), it is not worth it This price.

The hotel staff is very welcoming, the breakfast is delicious and has a variety of varieties, except the location is a bit high hahaha

The hotel is small and exquisite, with complete facilities, beautiful environment, good air, good service, and convenient transportation. Although the hotel is a little far from the downtown area, the food and beverages are cheap and good. It's good to eat in the hotel when you are tired from traveling. It's OK Book a sauna to relieve fatigue

We absolutely had the best stay at the hotel. The restaurant staff Peter and Jessica were fantastic and made us feel so welcome. Chef Mike, maybe Mark I lost his card, went out of his way to treat us to authentic Swiss rosti, which wasn’t on the menu when we were there. He also spent time at our table explaining the subtleties of Swiss cuisine. Also very welcoming . Views were spectacular. Bus stop was right there if needed. Hotel was a little dated but really gave off the Swiss vibe. Still, 5 stars all around, next stay will be when the snow is falling. Can’t wait to go back.

First of all, the bed and pillow have seen better days. But you were so tired from all day activities- it doesnt matter much. The view from our room is probably the best view of all hotels in Grinderwald. This worth it!! We stayed in Jr Suite corner room. Staff are polite and friendly, and dining room served good lunch and dinner.

Fantastic hotel. First off nice size room with balcony. They also have a very good restaurant (the schnitzel was really, really good) where we had breakfast every morning & two dinners. Due to weather we only sat outside the first day and as you can see by my picture you can't beat the view. Staff is great. We also took advantage of their laundry service. Maybe a little expensive but it was worth it. The only downside to the place is that it's a pretty good hike uphill from town. If you have a car (we didn't) or don't mind hiking (we don't) then it's not a big deal. There is a bus stop about 50 yards away from the hotel which takes you into town. Problem with that however is it stops fairly early in the evening. So one night after having dinner in town we had to hike back up in the dark & the rain. Bottom line is you need to stay at this wonderful place.

We were staying over the road and decided to pop in for an evening meal. The staff were very friendly and accommodating as we had not booked. We were treated to and exceptional meal lovely ambience and very reasonably priced. We had 3 courses and drinks and enjoyed them all. Highly recommended.

It is a fantastic property with spacious, clean rooms. Breakfast was delicious, with a variety of nutritious food. The views are breathtaking. The hotel is only a short drive from the main street of Grindelwald. Everything about this hotel was absolutely perfect.

Pro: Great settings and exceptional staff. Most / all rooms have nice views. Onsite restaurant on par or better than other “Main Street” tourist locations. Rustic look and feel, but very clean. Cons: not much. Just be aware that it’s away from the town. While I usually prefer in town locations, took a chance and couldn’t have been happier. We walked down (short cut forks to two different parts of town that you can reach in 10 min). On way back, we took taxi one day, town bus another day and called hotel for a lift one day. They obliged.
