I really don’t like giving poor reviews but although there were some good points with this All inclusive 5star hotel there were quite a few negatives. We arrived at 4am due to flight being delayed and first (tired ) impressions were reasonable. Fairly quick check in and shown to our (sea view) room. Bed was comfortable. We got up about 9:30 and noticed our room was what could only be described as grubby. Dirty looking marks all over and yellowing on all white surfaces(walls and wardrobes). We did have a sea view but it was over some other accommodation so a distant view. Overall food was reasonable, decent choice and well cooked. Problem was there was never enough cutlery and I was just amazed that the problem wasn’t solved after a the first day of problems. If I had been the restaurant manager then I would have bought another 500 hundred sets myself rather than have the embarrassment of keep saying sorry to guests night after night. Same thing with the fruit juice machines, always empty with only half the guests thirst quenched. Never known anything like it, even in 2 star hotels. Beach was lovely and was always crowded with the pool areas staying empty. Pool bars and snack bar excellent as was the beach bar. Lobby bar was a lovely place to st and have a drink in the evening but after 9 pm it was only paper cups as although they kept collecting empty glasses no one ever washe them up 😂. Beds were made every morning though the rooms were never cleaned and toilet rolls seemed to be a scarcity and a couple times the dirty towels were taken away without leaving replacements though quickly rectified by a call to reception. Don’t expect your free drinks in your fridge to be replenished either. Most staff were ok though a few were excellent and a few were grumpy. All in all we had a good break but wasn’t the 5 star luxury we were expecting. Maybe 3 star + Disappointing overall is how I’m remembering it. I just remembered that we were WhatsApped by a guy named Bülent on our first morning and asked to go to a meeting with him at midday. We got there and all the new guests were present and he started off giving good info about hotel but it turned into a hard sell of attractions. We paid 30 euros each for a spa and massage experience away from the hotel and were promised it would be excellent but it wasn’t, it was dirty and awful backstreet sauna that no one was comfortable with. We also paid 50euros each for a boat trip that was amazing but if you book from the guys down the beach it was only 25 euros 😞. Don’t be fooled by Bülent, he is not your friend.

There are more positive points than bad, which was a relief after reading so many negative reviews before we came. We did have a great time, but there are some things to mention for sure. Check-in/Our Room Firstly, our check-in needs highlighting. It was very late at night, and we were greeted at the desk by a friendly chap and told our room number, but very little information was given after that. Mehmet helped with our luggage and advised us of a few things, but we still had no clue what time food was served or any mention of our included à la carte, which was very poor. Upon arrival at our room, we discovered it looked nothing like the pictures advertised on the Jet2 website. We were also with our 15-year-old daughter and were greeted with a single room with three single beds in it. I spoke to our porter and showed him my room confirmation, and he said this was correct; we had booked a standard room. I then went back upstairs to speak to the man on reception and told him that there should be a double bed and that the pictures looked nothing like the ones on the website. Language was a bit of an issue clearly, and he would not let me upgrade. I was just told to come back tomorrow to speak with the manager on the desk. This was annoying, and in the end, we didn't even bother going back to complain. The complex is massive, and they really should have looked at the booking and saw we had a teenager with us and accommodated this. The hotel wasn't even half full. Most ”5-star” hotels upgrade for free. We literally got a 2-star room (not very clean, nothing like the pictures, the air conditioning barely worked and was incredibly noisy). If it weren't for the staff and everything else, I would not be rating this review so high. Our neighbor upon our arrival said ”welcome to Alcatraz,” and it did feel a bit like that with apartments close together. We didn't get the promised balcony; it was just a small step with two chairs on it, with no privacy. I won't moan about the room too much as we didn't go back the next day to complain further, but make sure you get one that is in the pictures on your travel company's website. We did leave a couple of tips for the housekeepers, but the cleaning wasn't great. You didn't get any special treatment like swans made out of towels, but you did get your bed made and minibar stocked, so it's not all bad. Be warned, they like you to put toilet paper in the bin. Nothing was mentioned about this apart from a card in the bathroom. I remember first encountering this many years ago in Corfu, but I would hope in this day and age, you didn't have to wipe and leave it in a bin. The Staff The staff are the highlight of this place, though. Some do not really engage (perhaps a language issue), but there are some absolute stars there, such as Nazmi (breakfast), Yusef Can (bar), and others whose names I have forgotten how to pronounce. Thank you all for such great service. The Complex The complex itself is like a little

Let's start with the positives. Our room on the third floor at the front overlooking the sea was very spacious and well-appointed with a comfortable bed and very nice bed linen. The only thing we didn't find that would have been useful was an iron and ironing board. The views from the balcony were stunning. The bathroom was large with good toiletries and space to put things away. The shower may not have been the most powerful but worked fine and hot water was always available. Breakfast was excellent, served until 11 am, with an extensive buffet selection and cooked to order items. On the less positive side, whilst the mornings were great the beach bar DJ started up at 2 pm with thumping bass'y music increasing in volume as the afternoon went on. This doesn't make for a relaxing time on the beach. Whilst to be expected in the main season we had not anticipated this in the first week in October. It was quieter sitting by the pool but if you like to sit on the beach in peaceful and tranquil surroundings this is not the place for you. The other significant negative was the excessively expensive food and drink. For some bizarre reason the menus are priced in Euros but billed in Turkish Lira which makes checking the bill quite difficult. Very few bottles of wine under 100 Euros and food choices were limited unless you wanted to pay a fortune. This had the effect of pushing guests away from the hotel to eat and drink; those who could easily afford it simply weren't prepared to pay unrealistic prices for what was on offer. A bottle of Pinot Grigio Blush was over 2,000 Lira when you could buy exactly the same in the supermarket five minutes walk up the road for 300 Lira. A 600%mark-up seems somewhat greedy! Unlikely we will stay here again.

Conveniently situated with on street parking right outside, this hotel is a little gem. The staff went above and beyond to help. Considering the very reasonable cost of our stay, the view from our balcony was priceless. The bedroom was lovely with tea and coffee making facilities plus fridge. Breakfast is served around the lovely pool area and is waiter service to your table. No scrambling around for food although, tea, coffee etc were self service. It is close to all pubs and restaurants (only a couple of doors away from one of our favourites, Annalivia). Slight word of warning; music from close by nightclubs could be a problem if you don't like noise but didn't bother us at all. We will definitely go back.

We ve been with family and friends for a day trip to Alikarnassos. We booked a cheap hotel (50€) per night for a two room 4 bed suite, each family. To be honest i was a bit skeptical considering the low price. Arriving at the hotel, parking was not an issue because of a wide street in front of it. Communicating was a bit difficult due to lack of English (on their account). As soon as made the reservation,i headed for the room to be surprised in a good manner. The rooms were clean, with new furniture. Equipped with A/C fridge and tv. There was also a pool. Breakfast was free and delisious, served in front of the pool. The only disadvantage of the hotel is that it is not on the beach, it is located 10' by foot from the nearest beach. Concluding, is was a pleasant experience that we are considering having again in the near future!!

The Poyz Hotel Bodrum

The Poyz hotel is one of the nicest places that we have stayed in Turkey. The price was right and competitive. The location was perfect and within few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants, and shops. The room was large, modern, beautiful, and had a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was customized, delicious, and included everything. The staff were very friendly, courteous, gracious, and helpful. I had a parking spot right in front of the hotel. We definitely plan to return and stay here again hopefully soon.

- Our room was a legend - Generally, the facility and the room were clean - Our room was 1+1 bedroom in the shape of the living room and really comfortable. - Our kitchen was very good. The bag knife sheet was with a mini-doll January. It was very good to enjoy the view on TV or balcony, especially when my wife cooked. - Although it was winter, we started air conditioning for about an hour and it was enough in two rooms. We took a very warm family holiday. ** The only problem was the smell in the toilet, I don't know whether there's any problem with the municipality or whether it was temporary, but whatever happened we spent wonderful 2 days. Once again, I'll be sure 😊

During our holiday, I would like to thank Mr. Kerem, the staff and manager of the hotel, who has a clue. They are interested in all their guests. We felt in our house, we stayed in the cellar as the most reliable, clean and location we stayed in one of the best hotels. As a distance, we stayed in the entertainment centres and beaches. Our room was very clean, all things were new. We have had a very nice holiday, and I recommend those who want to stay in the giant especially.
