Setsugetsuka

My husband and I stayed here for the first time. We really enjoyed it. We did privat spa at 5 am. We purchased both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant, the food were amazing and beautiful. The landscape of the hotel were amazing, we felt like in the woods which is the experience that we want. The hotel located near all transit. 2 minutes walk to the trainstation and 4 minutes to the bus station, super convenient, especially if you carry luggages or the weather is not too good. It is also very convient to visit museums. Over all, do more research before arrives, so you know how to purchase tickets to places.

The entrance is right in front of Gora Station, so transportation wouldn't be an issue. Plenty of shops and places to eat around the station, but they close pretty early. The front desk staff can speak English and explained everything clearly, from the type of onsen, the bathing hours, meals, and how to get to our rooms (it was in a separate building). The onsen are great, the outdoor private bathtub is great, but the water cools off pretty quickly in winter. The room is very spacious and they also provide an extra futon. I could do a bit of work comfortably in the rooms while resting. They have a bunch of amenities at the lobby, you could make tea, coffee, get some ice cream and bring them to your rooms. The breakfast and dinner were very delicious. You need reservations for meals since the seats are limited.

Fantastic location as it’s just at Gora station. The staff are friendly and nice. The meals are good and plentiful. Lots of free snacks and food throughout the day. Highly recommend. Beautiful sunrise from the room.

Loved our stay here- food was exceptional, amenities were great and the location was right next to the Gora station. Very convenient!

The service was excellent. The hot springs were very enjoyable. They have different types of hotsprings (regular, carbonic acid, cold). The food was excellent. We were stuffed. The portion was huge and the variety was wide.  Hygiene was great. The room was spotless and the balcony was very romantic under the moon light. Well worth the money.
