Rosewood on The Cove Cottages

Hubbards is a very beautiful part of Nova Scotia. Lovely people, scenery etc. We booked our trip to Rosewood a year in advance. The Lilac was recommended to us by the person who took our call, which went through Tuna Blue. The area is beautiful, good restaurant, Tuna Blue, within a minutes walk. The cottage, lilac, was a disappointment. The only cottage with no view of the bay. We looked at the license plate of a car two feet away from our front patio. The back deck, listed as private, had large windows looking over it from a house within spitting distance. During long parts of the day, neither deck offered shade. No umbrella or awning was available. This greatly limited our ability to use front or back decks. Cottage was very clean but rather tired looking. Not a lot of seating in the living area to watch tv. No dishwasher. If shade, views or privacy is important to you, do not accept this cottage. Very disappointed considering the cost. I think there were far better cottages that were not offered.

Very nice setting along Hubbards Cove. The development is a bit small and the cottages are close to one another. The development includes a wharf and a floating dock. In addition, there is a nice size swimming pool. So you can swim in the ocean and you can swim in the pool. Each cottage has parking for two cars and a private deck. The cottages are modern and well maintained. The cottage includes air conditioning and an electric fireplace. Overall, Rosewood is a nice place to stay.

We spent an amazing weekend in the Lilac Cottage. We are 5 women who like to cook, go out for dinner, and take in all of the local amenities no matter where we are staying. Our weekend at Rosewood Cottages made all of that possible. The cottage was very well appointed, ample room for 5 women, and has a beautiful view of the water. Next door, Tuna Blue restaurant also did not disappoint. The food was delicious and inexpensive, again the view was amazing. Christine & Karen do an amazing job and you will not be disappointed. Highly recommend Rosewood On the Cove Cottages in Hubbards. Christine and Karen could not do enough to make our visit perfect. The cottage was so well appointed and comfortable.. Great views and dinner at the Tuna Blue Restaurant was a amazing and so affordable. Will come again for sure.
