We stayed at Adina for New Year’s Eve going into 2024. The hotel is nice in terms of interior, condition, view and cleanliness. We stayed in a great corner room with lookout to the water, perfect for the New Year’s we had planned.
However, our stay was unfortunately disturbed by a fire, meaning that all guest was promptly evacuated. Even though the situation was not caused by the hotel personnel, I must admit that the crisis management performed by the personnel was inefficient and honestly dissatisfactory.
Throughout the day we received little information in general. Several guests besides only speaking English, but 90 % of all information was only in German, and we had to ask for translation several times. People were during the day more and more scattered in different corners of the hotel, including the bar and conference room, and we had to ask in the reception for information time and time again as communication was not provided to all guests at once, incl. when we could go back into our room.
We sat in a conference room for +6 hours, during this time we were only offered drinks from the bar (after 4 hours) and we were not offered any food, we got snacks only my request.
We checked out on the 31st and was informed of possibilities for reimbursement. It took quite some time to get responses from the hotel, but within app. 1 month we had our money for the night, parking and for dry cleaning.
