Booked two double rooms as we and our friend's we're going to the Isle of Mann on the ferry so ideal for a overnight stay. Owner was brilliant and knowledgeable of the area. The rooms were top class both in cleanliness and quality. We also left the car there for a week for a small fee. Certainly recommend this place. Nature reserve near by,coastal walks and pubs.

Ten–minute walk from Heysham Port ferry terminal and railway station. Good host Jack welcomed me - I appreciated being able to arrive early and leave late (it’s off-season). My single room was perfect - very clean and comfortable, TV with many channels, WiFi, electrical outlet above the desk, kettle, bottle of water, a good shower, a towel-warming rack and a luggage rack. On Jack’s suggestion, I walked the coastal path to view the 8th-century chapel ruins and an ancient church. I highly recommend The Port House for a comfortable stay.

Sparkling clean, hot showers, comfortable bed, power points where you needed them, easy access. A trouble free, comfortable night for two travellers. Would have sworn we were the only ones there it was so quiet! Thanks!

A very comfortable and clean guest house close to Heysham Ferry Port with long stay parking available. No kitchen but breakfast available a few minutes walk away at the nearby beach cafe and lunches and evening meals available at the cafes and inns in Heysham Conservation area within a 15 minute walk.

Very convenient for the Ferry Terminal; very clean and comfortable; Not a very salubrious area and a bit of a pain having to go out for meals (including breakfast!)

Jack and Monika were the perfect hosts, everything about our stay was perfect in every way, nothing was a problem, very high standards are upheld by the hosts in every way, we will not hesitate to book again in the future.

Beautiful place to stay, easy to find, we booked 2 rooms as we brought a friend along, both rooms were beautiful and super comfortable, ensuites were of a great size and had the toiletries as advertised. 10-15 minute stroll to the Royal where we would highly recommend you eat. Lovely stay and Jack was lovely to talk to

Amazing location, free parking. Top. Beds are very comfortable, rooms super clean. I booked it because was the cheapest option and ended in an amazing room. Unbeatable. Very close to the seaside, if you have a car it is the best option. 10/10.

We had the executive room which was very spacious. The room was clean with comfy bed. The accommodation is next to the docks and isn’t the nicest area however Heysham is a short walk. It is a lovely village with a couple of excellent cafes and nice hotel for eating and drinks.

My room was lovely, very comfortable and clean! No fault of the owners but for me, the slight snag was the noise from the nearby port due to open windows (it was a very hot day/evening). Jack, the owner, was very helpful with evening meal recommendations.

The ONLY truly disabled hotel accommodation in Lancaster! I stayed for 3 nights in the disabled adapted room. The facilities were excellent. Wetroom with shower seat. Raised toilet seat and low level sink. All with necessary grabrails. The lounge in the hotel has an adjoining door to the bedroom and so it feels more like home from home. The lounge was super comfortable and the hosts couldn't have been any more helpful. I would definitely recommend to anyone needing a fully wheelchair user accessible bathroom as no other hotels in Lancaster have them. I know, I looked everywhere. The location isnt perfect but Heyaham village is a 15 minute walk and very lovely and there is a beach cafe 5 minutes away doing a great breakfasts and lunches.

Lovely hotel. I was made to feel very welcome and I had everything I needed, including a good night’s sleep! The location is fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to others. I appreciated how clean and flawless the room was, too. Many thanks!

We booked to stay here prior to and after a weeks trip to the Isle of Man. I telephoned beforehand to confirm a couple of things and spoke to Jack who was very helpful and pre warned us they did not serve breakfast but suggested other alternatives. On arrival we telephoned the number on the door and were greeted by Munik who was very helpful. We had booked the large sea view room which was enormous and spotlessly clean. For dinner we walked into Heysham (booking is strongly advised for the Royal ). We had the best nights sleep we’d had in ages - it was very quiet and the bed and bedding extremely comfortable. The following morning we walked to the cafe on the beach for a cooked breakfast which was good. As our ferry crossing wasn’t until the afternoon we asked if we’d be able to check out later and if on our return by morning ferry we could check in earlier. Both requests were met with no problem. If ever travelling to the IOM in the future, we would most certainly stay here again. Thank you Jack and Munik.

Stayed at the porthouse many many times, rooms are lovely clean modern spacious, I know they no longer do breakfast which was always fabulous but I just don't understand why they can't just stick a toaster friut cereal yoghurts juice milk, in the dining area, so u can help yourself, doesn't have to b a cooked breakfast, people just need a little something to start the day off, the price is to much for just a bed, the last thing u want to do when your getting a ferry is having to go off to look for a cafe for somewhere to get a breakfast
