The best in the area

We’ve spent 1 week in D Maris Bay. We’ve been to many places in Turkey but this hotel is just something else. Pure bliss, paradise. The location is just amazing!! And they’re the world class service, special thanks to Evren Karakac who can deal with everything so promptly such a lovely, kind and sweet person. She put smile on my face each morning. 💕💕 Breakfast service, restaurants, beach service, can’t find any faults. Wish we can visit again in near future. Thank you D Maris Bay

Dalaman airport to hotel : just under 2 hours by car. Check in was smooth. Friendly hotel staff. We got the deluxe sea view room. The view from the balcony was nice. The room however is pretty worn down. The bathroom especially needs some work done - too basic for a 5 star hotel and they should reposition the toilet roll holder so it’s easier for reach haha and also I hope they can install a little table by the bowl so I can put my phone or other things there. The shower is probably the worst part, the lighting is so dim I can barely see if I was using shampoo or shower gel. Please install more lights if possible. But our room has a big bath tub with sea view which is nice. Housekeeping was a hit and miss. But overall acceptable. Just that when they offered turndown service I kindly asked the lady to return in an hour as we were just getting ready for dinner, the lady happily said sure ok but forgot to return after lol that’s ok. No big deal. Breakfast is served as buffet style and you can order your choice of eggs and will prepare for you fresh. Good selection of pastries and breads, cheeses, fruits, and various Turkish breakfast food. The ‘restaurant’ that serves breakfast is only opened for breakfast. The hotel has 5 main restaurants, 4 by beaches and 1 at the main hotel building. Zuma - at the main hotel building, with a panoramic view over the bay, that serves contemporary Japanese cuisine - you can find Zumas all over the world. It’s only opened for dinner, there is an outdoor grilled station, and a sushi bar. Our dinner there was enjoyable. D Maris Kitchen - brasserie style by the main beach that offers an international menu - salad, pasta, pizza, doner, etc we had a nice lunch there. Nusr-et - steakhouse by the beach. I got to see saltbae there too during our stay. La Guerite - Mediterranean cuisine with a 360 sea view - with DJ playing music - it’s a fun place where you see a lot of non hotel guests parking their luxurious yachts nearby and come here for some food and bubbles. Our lunch here was nice but very windy that day. Manos - beach front taverna with Greek seafood cuisine - the only restaurant we haven’t tried but probably should have done instead of Nusret (since we have already had it in Istanbul) So the hotel accommodation part, I cannot give a good rating. But the beaches, the view, the staff really made up to get a 4/5. Vito the GM, good seeing you and thank you for being so kind and helpful. I look forward to returning to D Maris Bay.

We have been to lots of hotels in great places but D Maris’ location just takes your breath away; STUNNING – we could not get enough of the view. Go for deluxe sea view room or a sea view suite to fully appreciate it. The hotel itself is not bad; it has 5 beaches with easy access between them by a shuttle boat (our favourite one was the green beach – The Silent one) and 5 restaurants; we stayed at the hotel towards the end of the season which meant that we had beaches to almost just ourselves and there was no need to book any restaurants; we did not try Manos as the place was completely empty on most nights and to be honest we’ve heard very mixed reviews so just did not bother; La Guerite, on the other hand, was very disappointing – we had great expectations but unfortunately we left disappointed; the seabass ceviche was lovely but the mussels and grilled prawns were lukewarm and generally there was a feeling of not being very welcome. Zuma’s food, however, was excellent – we had dinner there twice (in our 6 day stay)– just a shame about some of the staff who appeared to be totally disinterested in what they were doing; also my plate was taken away while I was still eating and I had to ask the waiter to put it back on the table – that was a bit weird, to say the least. D Maris Kitchen is also very good. Just one word of caution – the prices throughout the hotel are very high; food was on the a par with London but drinks were extortionate; 75cm bottle of water was about £5, same for a glass of coke, beer was about £12 a bottle and the cheapest wine, in any restaurant, was over £60 a bottle; problem is that the hotel is very isolated so has a captive audience but there is no need to mark the drinks by 400-500%; one other thing to be aware of, is that the curtains in the rooms let a lot of light in, in fact the door to the hot tub room is only frosted, letting in huge amount of light so if you are light sleeper bring an eye mask with you. I would have thought that a 5* hotel could afford to have blackout curtains, considering they have huge amount of sun/light through the year. Having said all of this, it’s a lovely hotel and I can highly recommend it.

Terrace kahvaltı çalışanları mükemmeldi. Güler yüzle bizi karşılayan Nehir olsun Hüseyin,Selim,Muazzez olsun muhteşem insanlar. Ayrıca odamızın temizliğinde Hayriye hanıma teşekkürler. Seneye tekrar görüşmek üzere! Süpersiniz !

This hotel is in a stunning location, perfect for a chilled holiday. We went as the season was about to end so the hotel was very quiet but we didn't mind as we were there to relax and to get some sun. There are 5 different beaches, our favourite was the silent beach. Unfortunately because of the weather La Guerite wasn't open in the evenings, it was the best restaurant on the resort. We ate in Zuma on three occasions which was very enjoyable.

Evren was hosting us she made us feel home.She is a diamond,very helpfull and experienced.It is a very luxury resoet very satisfied with service and food. We will definitely come back.the views are stunning rooms were very nice decorated.Thank you

Perfect compleks thank to all staff for their hospilatility and helpfull behavior. Cleanest hotel that ı have ever been till today. Beaches are all perfect .Food options are perfect restorants are clean and Food is fresh always.

We have been so looking forward to this trip - a week at D Maris Bay - as we visited briefly in 2018. We were again just knocked sideways by the incredible beauty, service, food, drink… everything. We’ve stayed at 5*-plus resorts around the world (Four Seasons, St Regis, Mandarin Oriental) and they do not even come close to what you’ll experience here. The hotel is incredibly blessed by its position on a forested, hilly peninsula with several small inlets and golden sandy beaches. Yes… it’s a long trip from the nearest airports (Bodrum and Dalaman) but you’re more than rewarded as you arrive and drive up the pristine driveway towards the hotel buildings. A literally welcome committee greeted us and took us straight to the foyer lounge to wait with a complementary cocktail while check-in was handled effortlessly. Our first room (we upgraded at the end) was a spacious mountain view with a huge terrace. I was a little concerned these would have no privacy but I had needn’t have worried… each terrace is secluded and separated from neighbours by immaculately cut lime trees and buxus. We upgraded to a sea view deluxe at the end of our stay and enjoyed the most spectacular views. When we shared pics from around the hotel on our Instagram, our friend and followers were like “OMG… where is this place?” and “how have I not heard of this?”. Nobody can believe such a haven exists just 4 hours flight from the UK. We settled in to the private, serene vibe of the place, loving every one of their various world-class brand restaurants. Each has a completely different vibe (and cuisine) and we varied our visits depending on what we fancied - Zuma and outpost of famous Cannes beach club La Guérite for a glamorous party vibe, D Maris Kitchen and Manos for something more relaxed. Despite the high season coming to an end and occupancy at about 50%, all of the restaurants were open (this was important to the GM, a lovely chap who spent 35 minutes talking to us - Vito Romeo) and we loved that we still had all of the dining choices we did. Special shoutout to Manos - although is was very quiet when we visited, the place is built and designed to replicate a gorgeous Greek taverna quarter with quaint buildings and shops), with chillies and squid were left drying out in the sun and an incredible fish and sea food selection on ice for perusal. We had such fun at La Guérite and were lucky to party there on our first Saturday when the while place went off; rocking to the excellent DJ, and having the same energy and vibe as a South of France or Mykonos beach/club concept. I sadly really hurt my foot (dancing at the party) but the hotel’s own house doctor (yes, they have one) came to my room within 20 mins to look at it on the Sunday morning after - aided by an excellent translator… you don’t even need to leave this paradise even if you break your foot (lucky, I hadn’t) The main stress you have is deciding which beach to chill at during the day… each has a really differen
