Tam Coc La Montagne Resort & Spa

Lovely place to stay with very helpful staff. Food was nice and could borrow bikes for free to explore. We had to pay extra to use sauna/jacuzzi, which was not ready during off season so we had to wait, but staff did everything they could to make stay enjoyable.

The room had two Aircon/heater units, one would not heat and the other was missing a remote. We saw a total of 4 staff members and most rooms were empty but late checkout was not allowed. Breakfast was terrible and late. Cold pho, sad ban mi, old watermelon, cold coffee and we sat in the dark for the first half. Happy with the help of the staff member who helped with organising taxis.

We really enjoyed our stay here and the outstanding aspect was meeting Phoung Bui the General Manager. Her customer service is second to none, she is warm, engaging and knowledgeable. We told her that we wanted to eat local food and she organised a local feast for us.... food not on the menu and it was amazing. Thank you Phoung. The reason is so lucky to have you. We are so glad we only had 1 night booked. If our booking had of been for more than 1 night, we would have cancelled. Our room (5111) was smelly (smelt like sewage), the room was very small and bathroom has limited shelf space to put your bathroom items. The bed was uncomfortable. There was also loud karaoke from across the lake (realise this venue has no control over the noise from other venues). If you are staying out of town because you want quiet you won’t get it here. The friendliest staff member was the security guard who gave us the bicycles to borrow.

Tam Coc de la Montagne resort Our family of four stayed here as part of our Intrepid Tour visit to Vietnam. We occupied two rooms for two nights. Overall our experience was very positive. The beds and pillows were comfortable. All the outlets work and are plentiful. The bathrooms are recently updated. The rooms are very clean with a stocked mini bar and a few complimentary treats and water. The WiFi is free and speedy. We used the laundry service which managed to deliver same day! The kitchen is creating good food! We dined there both nights. The pasta and pizza are as good as you will get anywhere. The salads are fresh and dressings delicious. Breakfast is similar to most hotels in Vietnam with a few fun surprises (onion rings or meatballs, anyone?) The bar is fine and the espresso was satisfying. My wife and daughters took advantage of the spa and enjoyed hair washes and a hot stone experience that was very enjoyable. The service overall is friendly and attentive. The main hall/reception is stunning, they have created a truly welcoming and comfortable place to eat and relax. The grounds are adorned with flower shrubs and cultured trees, making the walk to our room very pleasant. The shower uses a dedicated water heater in the bathroom so be aware that the hot water won't last long. During our visit the pool was still empty as it is undergoing a refresh. There are complimentary bicycles which can be used to tour the area, we used them to view the Buffalo cave and pedal to the Hang Mua lookout. My wife and I occupied a room near the pool which was very quiet at bedtime. My daughters were closer to the entrance so unfortunately were subjected at bedtime to loud karaoke from a neighbouring establishment. My rating is based on value for price and the location and facilities available in this gorgeous part of the world. I'm sure as time goes on the management will continue to improve and refine their offering.

A huge spider crawled on me and woke me in the middle of the night. In the morning I could see bites on my chest and hand. When we told the staff during check out, the two female reception agents did not do anything to address it. The one agent responded with she was really scared of spiders so please don’t tell her the details. The other agent, asked to take a picture of the spider. They didn’t ask if we needed any assistance regarding the spider bite, barely an apology. We explained to them that, even though we were shooken up when it happened, we didn’t want to call and wake them in the middle of the night. We only stayed one night there. We stayed in Ninh Binh for 4 nights and the other hotel we stayed at was amazing.

Resort is located along a beautiful lake and opposite a mountain. Great location if you are fan of nature. Hotel manager Anna was extremely helpful when I contacted her via Zalo. She arranged a driver for my day trip to 3 location at a reasonable price and was attentive to my needs. There is some improvements required for this hotel such as breakfast, but overall a beautiful place to stay. As this is near nature, not for the faint hearted for small tiny harmless insects in the room. Picture is taken from my room.

The location of this property is beautiful. Remote setting near the end of the main road in Tam Coc. Quiet and majestic.

This is a beautiful hotel with lovely grounds and a great view of the lake. It’s not in the busy bustling part of Ninh Binh and at night it was very quite and remote which we didn’t mind but do be award if you’re looking for nightlife. The layout and hotel was peaceful and serene and it was what we wanted.
