We are tree lovers. There is a huge variety of trees. It will help if you can put the names on the trees and not only the FSA number. The braai and tub area were fantastic.

Beautiful tent with hot tob and lake view. Accomadation was clean and cosy. We also ate one of the best pizza's we ever had at Africamps. Very nice helpfull and polite guy at the reception. Highly recommended to stay 1 or 2 nights when in the direction to Kruger. Even when you are not into Glamping, as this is even more luxurious than normal glamping we ever had.

Africamps is great for families with children, lots of nature surrounding the camp, sleeping arrangements for up to 5 and beautiful views. We all had a very relaxed and rejuvenating holiday. One highlight was morning coffee on the deck surrounded by nature, watching the fish jumping.

Camp really beautiful and safe with everything you need. Bring your own pool towels, as they are not supplied. Hot tub was an absolute highlight ! Only negative thing was the fridge/freezer, which was totally too small for our food for 2 days. Extra facility at reception will help.

My husband and I got married on the 8th of December 2022, so we are literally newlyweds. Because my husband had to continue with work the next week, I booked us in at the Africamps in Hoedspruit, thinking that at least we would have a 2-night mini (one and only) honeymoon weekend. When we arrived, we went to reception to meet a very friendly lady, who told us that we were in tent one. Tent one right at the road, it may have been on the road, anyway that is not even what makes me so upset. Our neighbours in tent two … Because we had arrived late on that evening we basically ate and went to bed. The next morning, we woke up to probably the worst day in all my travel history. We were met with chaos. There must have been at least 20 people at the next-door tent at any given time, now I am fully aware that you are in the business of renting of holiday spaces, and the 20 odd people had obviously more then one tent that they had rented and therefore to my husband and I seemed untouchable. The neighbours had literally taken over our camping space as well as theirs, they were fishing, screaming, and shouting at already 09:30am. It is lovely to have family holidays, however, these people were already drinking by 09:30. Their kids were going crazy running in and out our camping space, so absolutely no use of the hot tub for us. The one child kept on running naked and peeing everywhere, and I mean everywhere. It the meaning of fish wives have any place in your minds you can imagine the carrying on and screaming of kids and even adults When my husband had enough of the neighbours consistently in our space, he went across and asked them to please just stay in their spot and that we had paid for our space and stay just as much as they had. This was a bad idea on our part. From that moment on the neighbours, harassed, bullied, and continued to make even more noise. Not only did they carry on this way, but they told their children to do the same. The irony of this is that the Main guy that bullied us was called…..Bully by his family. They also were catching fish and not releasing fish but hiding the fish that nobody would see that they caught one. Every now and then what I assume was a staff member would pop their head in with our neighbours and we thought this is great they are going to tell them to quiet down, but that never happened. Our theory is that because this family rented more then one tent they seemed to be treated like gold. I know at most part this is probably not your concern at all, but the big question is why privacy screens are not installed there or something in that vein. And there should be some sort of “directional rule” when it comes to these tents that are on top of one another. If you park on the left your entertainment space etc is on the right. My husband and I spent 90% of our time in our tent, barely slept thinking that the neighbours were going to do something to our car, we left early just so that we would

Four of us stayed at Africamps Hoedspruit for 3 nights in 2 tents facing the dam end of October after our Kruger Park stay. The tents and surrounds are in very good condition and the outlook very pleasant from the deck, the a/c was a real plus as it was very hot. The kitchen was well kitted out with utensils however, fridge/freezer is small for a self cater place. Re the basics I did not have enough tea bags in the kitchen pack for 2 pax for 3 days. Luckily I had some leftover from our self cater park stay. I did note the rooms were not serviced daily but by day 2 the large garbage bin inside our tent was on the nose so I had to ask for it to be emptied by some ground staff walking past. Also by day 3 there was no toilet paper left and no spare roll yet our fellow travellers luckily had a spare roll in their bathroom. It is “glamping”, so one expects enough basic supplies for 2 pax for the allotted time. Guests should not have to supply such basic items, it is not camping. Aside from this, the tents are spacious and comfortable but compared to our Kruger NP stay where rooms are serviced daily & basics are included for duration of a stay it is makes me wonder why the need to scrimp on basics.

For the price you pay it isn’t worth it. You’d think for R1000 per person per night that the rooms would be serviced daily. This is not told to you and have to read far down the terms and conditions to see it. And if you want it serviced it’s R150 per day. You come to be on holiday. We have travelled the world and paid way less money and had way better services and food etc. Cutlery and crockery was dirty on arrival. Location was good in general but you look straight into a caravan park. There should be an option on your website as to when you select a braai dinner package( R200 per person I might add) as to what night you would like it but instead it’s given to you the first night as they assume that, that is what you want. Won’t go back and wouldn’t refer anyone. Really not value for money!

This was a stop off between the Waterberg and Berg en Dal in the Kruger. The main highlight for us was the hot tub which the family enjoyed. The "glamping experience" was very ordinary and there were limited other activities. The pool looked good but it was not used. I thought it was a bit expensive for what it offered. A play area for kids would have been useful.

This place has a lot of potential. The tents are very nice and comfortable. They are kitted out with all utensils. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Beds have extra blankets with electric blanket on each bed. The toilet only has a shower. There is a small fride, 4 plate gas stove, microwave, kettle and toaster. There is a small shop that sells stuff like ice and wood but no bread. Bring your own milk. There is an outdoor braai area and a small pool that needs to be heated with wood. This takes quite a while to work so get started early if yoy want to swim in the afternoon. You can fish but it annoying that you need to pay for it. Its about R150 per person. You can get a tour for ttrh surrounding sights but better to just do it yourself. Hoedspruit town isnt too dar and ypu can shops at spar or pick n pay and various restaura ts and bottle stores to get stocked up. I would have liked the tents to be able to lock even though they say its safe, I dont likey valuables in a tent without a lock or a safe.
