Hotel Mittoz Holbox

NIce rooms, comfortable beds air worked okay! Do not stay here if you don't like extreme loud music at night. Sounds like the bands on in your room. Also pool is very dirty and can not swim in it. Holbox is awesome though very cool experience just would not suggest this hotel if your not a young partier

This hotel is for party people who go all night. The location is perfect central to music, drinking, and ***** until whatever hour they stop. The problem is is that it is the place on top of the hotel (and across) that has the music over 80 decibels for a prolonged period of time. It’s not the local bands or other restaurant music that is the problem. Also the roof bar remains open until whenever - past midnight every night and anyone can go there, so people off the street can enter the hotel and walk past your room if they want. Not very secure and many passed out drunks near entrance. Don’t go if you don’t like stairs- no elevator or service per se. Friendly enough, but unnecessarily loud rave music all night coming from this hotel. Not good for guests unless they are ravers too. Very stoned waiters at rooftop bar. Makes things a little difficult. This spot is near some very good live music at the Hot Corner bar. But they will finish and you’ll be listening to rave tantric music so loud that you can’t hear the tv in your own room. Party people who don’t need any service- this IS the place for you. Not for anyone who wants to sleep on their vacation! Not for families either. Also not the worst place above ever stayed. Clean.

Booked the junior suite and it was so loud all night due to the party next door. Location is central but you hear everything in your room.

AC was excessively noisy. No amenities. Room was ok, had fridge and kitchen area. Power went out in the island for several hours. It was hot. Pool is a joke. Looks like a enlarged jacuzzi without the jet streams. The whole town is noisy as hell. Holbox is not worth it IMHO.

Great location nice hotel with a rooftop with views to the sea. Just note the area is loud as you are in the heart of the party but for me it was fun and loved the location. I had a room with a balcony a good hot shower. The staff are friendly and everything is in walking distance

Place is in great location, only 10min walk from ferry. Power was out when we arrived. That was expected. Also informed we had NOT paid through *******. And that full price was to be paid at hotel. That was a surprise, but I then noticed that on email when I arrived… my fault! Lots of construction everywhere which is great for their growth. Every place we ate or drank around hotel was really nice!

The hotel itself was very average. The only good thing about it is the rooftop which you can go to without being a guest. The rooms are decent/fine (maybe not worth the price we paid over New Years). The real issue is the noise!! Wow I have never ever in my life stayed somewhere that’s so incredibly loud. There is a bar across the street that played live music until 5 am with speakers the size of a music festival blasting right into the room. I’m surprised I didn’t have ear damage. Plus in the morning there is construction across the street so there’s NO chance of sleeping here. I was honestly shocked that Holbox would be so loud and crazy. The worst part is when we complained the owners (very well knowing this is the case) scammed us out of all the booking/cleaning fees and one additional night even though we only stayed the one night due to their “policy”. This hotel ruined our vacation and made it extremely stressful to rebook other accommodations over the holidays when everything else was booked up. Please avoid this at all costs. How they ever got good reviews is beyond me - I bet it’s all fake.

Some people might find this location a little loud for their taste, it is right near all the action. I felt like once we were in the room the noise wasn’t that loud… I also use a noise machine when sleeping so it helps. For me you can’t beat the price and location. If you’re a light sleeper, it may not be for you, but I enjoyed staying here!
