Great service from this hotel, no complaints about any aspect of our stay. However, let's start with small bad observations.... 1. One lady waiting staff member with short grey hair did something that caused concern... she reset the table with cutlery from a place setting that was used. a spoon was not used at the setting and she just added a knife and fork. It's not ideal that the person sitting there touched the napkin and spoon so it should have been replaced. 2. the open plan aspect of the dining room to the reception is somewhat off-putting, maybe partitions while food is being eaten, otherwise customers will feel a little exposed. Now for the best bit... Keiren, the lovely morning gent whom we encountered, was always professional and approachable, never skipped a beat when asking about allergies, and always asked us if there was anything we needed help with. A credit to the hotel. a quick chat was never any bother, what stood out to us on our last day was Keiren was interacting with a gent who was in a wheelchair, and appeared to have some difficulties, his person-centered approach to the chap was outstanding. I am a carer in my chosen career, it made my heart happy to see Keiren act perfectly. Hats off to this young man.

Family room was good with cot out ready when we arrived. Breakfast was good quality with lots of choice. There were only 2 highchairs to go around so we had to wait for one and our 1 year old was difficult to contain but we managed. Shower was good but wasnt the warmest for the second child but i guess we didnt get up very early!

I was greeted as I arrived, helped with check in and table booked all within minutes. My room was spotless and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The air conditioning was effective and very quiet. My dinner and breakfast were nicely cooked. The dinner served to my table and breakfast was self service. I was very impressed. I thought my stay was great value and I recommend this hotel for anyone needing a stay in Honiton.

Premier Inn has always had comfortable beds and clean rooms. A pretty reliable choice. But lately the cost cutting is spoiling the experience. First, ‘free WiFi’ Yes, there is WiFi and yes it’s free but the speed has been reduced to 0.94mbps (about enough to read an email). You’d be better off just using 4g. They do this hoping you’ll pay an extra £5 for their ‘Ultimate’ WiFi which is a ripoff which I declined. Secondly, single sheet toilet paper! Just horrible. Who made that decision? Thirdly, breakfast at £10.99 each. That’s just too much for some bacon and eggs. No wonder it was empty. Last but not least, the shower heads. Most hotels have decent showers but Premier Inn have decided to fit stingy little shower heads which give a light sprinkle of water. It all just leaves the impression that they are penny pinching and don’t care about the customer experience. Such a pity.

We stay at a lot of Premier Inns, and this was one of the friendliest greetings we have received. As expected the rooms were clean and we had a good night’s sleep at the hotel. Thank you to the whole team, we will definitely be staying at this hotel again when we are in area!

Stayed for two nights and wrote to hotel two days prior to my stay and no response received back. My room was on third floor, the corridor had s horrible smell,az well as a flashing light in ceiling which needed replacing. Room was fairly clean but showing its age with matks on the wall, crackd in window sill, and mastic comining awsy in bathroom. Shower was not good ax was only warm with low pressure. I like a cold room and ghe air con is non existent, just s fan blowing air. The price for breakfast has bern put up by £1.49, whilst we know things havr hone up, this is a huge increase as breakfast is now £10.99. on check in there were no staff as they were in the restaurant, so we used the self check in which was fine .

The staff were great and very helpful. However the company has clearly cut back on their staff and expect 2 members of staff to run reception, cover the bar and work the restaurant. Absolutely ridiculous with long queues of agitated guests waiting to book in. The choice of drinks at the bar was very poor and again expect a long wait. I stayed 5 nights with no 'discount' for the length of stay and it is a real struggle to arrange for the room to be cleaned or get new towels. Unfortunately once again the company expects the receptionist to sort out clean towels etc. The car park, although initially large, had large trucks parked across 5 bays reducing the 'CAR' park space for everyone else. I found this Premier Inn very disappointing but mainly because of the company's desire to cut costs yet still charge 'Premier' prices.

We travel down to Cornwall regularly and look to stay somewhere along the way. We arrived very late after a long drive. Check in was via a machine but unfortunately it wouldn't do the room key but a receptionist was quickly on hand to help. The room was comfortable and set up for our two children. After a reasonable night's sleep breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and polite. Would definitely stay here again.
