Hotel Grauer Bar

Innenstadt Innsbruck|0.5km from Innsbruck
Stayed here with a group for 2 days recently. The hotel is not particularly prepossessing as it’s tucked into a corner of a street in Innsbruck. However inside is stylish, quite modern if dark, with lots of brick walls and marble flooring. On the ground floor are a bar and restaurant area, which were both quite dark, both dinner and breakfast were served here. There is a steak restaurant attached to this area, but it wasn’t open when we were there. Dinner was a fixed menu but with a choice of mains. As we were part of a group, we didn’t have an a la carte menu. The food at dinner was fine. Breakfast was continental with lots of nice breads and rolls. There is a nice seating area in the reception hall. The staff were all pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 1st floor. It was modern, with comfortable beds, a large flat screen TV, decent storage and a safe with what appeared to be air conditioning, but this didn’t seem to work. The reason I’ve given 4stars instead of 5 is the bathroom/shower room was nice and modern with decent toiletries, however the toilet was in a separate room, with no wash hand basin, which meant going back and forward to wash your hands, which was awkward. The hotel is very well placed for the central shopping and tourist area, which was a short walk of about 100 yards further along the street. I would recommend this hotel, the only issue we had was the toilet and air con, apart from that it was a very enjoyable stay.

Leipziger Hof Innsbruck

I really don’t know where to begin on my review of this amazing hotel. We stayed for 5 nights in December, hoping to experience the Christmas Markets and some snow. The weather wasn’t kind to us but this didn’t ruin our trip. The hotel was a short walk from the Main Train Station and a welcome sight to end our journey. Check in was easy and quick. The hotel reception was beautiful. A Typical Tyrollean feel to it. Our room was wonderful. Just on the first floor, we took the handy lift with our luggage. It was a spacious beautifully decorated room, with air con and a lovely big window which we preferred to have open a little for fresh air - even though it was freezing outside! The bathroom was amazing- massive shower, very modern. All in all, everything we needed - including tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was included in our booking. To be honest it was one of the loveliest breakfasts we have had in Europe. A great selection of hot and cold food, hot drinks and an amazing fresh orange juice machine. We could have stayed in the breakfast room all day. The service was really quick, all the staff were really attentive and the food was delicious. All in all this hotel was amazing. Well managed, well maintained and it had a ‘family run’ feel about it, which is lost on most of the larger hotels around. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We were sorry to leave. Thank you Hotel Leipziger Hof. One member of staff stood out to us and made our stay really special. Vaji, was on duty for most of our stay in the breakfast room and made us feel really special. Her service was amazing, she was so attentive, polite and professional. Our favourite member of staff. She made our stay complete. So a special thanks to her.

The Penz Hotel

This trip to Penz Hotel surprised me. The location is more convenient than another veteran hotel by the river that I booked. It took half an hour to walk around the famous scenic spots. Next door downstairs is the mall and delicious Thai food. The rooms also have mountain views. Highlight the garden restaurant on the top floor on the 5th floor with a superb view. The breakfast is rich in variety and delicious! There are also Chinese spring rolls and fried zucchini. Meat, seafood, desserts, juices, fruits, cheese have many subdivided varieties in each category, and they are delicious. Specially recommend all kinds of European-style kimchi, especially tuna wrapped in small tomatoes, and soft cheese wrapped in pickled peppers. The strange combination of wonderful flavors, you must try it if you have an international taste!

Great little hotel with an excellent breakfast. I have stayed here on a few occasions and each time the standard has been high. Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are not huge, but perfectly adequate for us, given we spend much of the day out. Nice little bar with a coffee machine available for guests. The fact that we keep going back to it is a reflection of the hotel.

It might not be an architectural masterpiece from the outside, but it's great on the inside! Beautiful room, incredibly rich breakfast buffet and a sensational view from the room over Innsbruck at night (room on the 7th floor). Very courteous staff. All in all really recommendable!

We were a night guest in this hotel. stage 12 is located in the centre of the city. At the reception we were very friendly. The room was cozy, modernly furnished, clean and very quiet. There was something for breakfast. I am particularly pleased about a large selection of fruits. When we come back to Innsbruck, we will be nighting back in the hotel, especially because of its location and friendliness. In the place, a nice thank you for the upgrade. The room with views on the mountains was impressive.
