Taychreggan Hotel

This was our second visit to this fabulous hotel It really is first class The views the food is outstanding and all the staff are so helpful and nothing is a problem Michell and her team deserve a huge hand shake for the way they run this fabulous hotel Can't wait to go back Oh and our doggies loved it too Thanks folks Heather

Wonderful peaceful hotel and setting. Staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful. Cuisine delicious . Lots of lovely sitting areas with a country hotel feel . A la Carte menu same each night but there's a special too. romm very clean and excetionally comfortable with a fabulous view of the loch. We'll be back soon. Thanks Michelle ! x

Beautiful and charming authentic Scottish setting and décor, divine food in a perfectly set white table cloth dining room with a picturesque view over the bonny banks of loch awe, this is a hidden gem for sure and if you happen to stumble across it consider yourselves lucky. A special thanks to the chefs Gerry and Robert for a memorable meal, and Sandy for being, cheerful and attentive at the bar making it a particularly nice place to relax with a cocktail in hand. I also appreciated the full sized snooker table as it isn't common to see and is the icing on the cake for me at this wonderful establishment. Thank you to everyone involved.

Visited for my husband's birthday. Didn't expect the Taycreggan to be so great. One of the best hotels where we have EVER had the pleasure to stay. Location fantastic. Food totally AMAZING. I had the best fish I have ever tasted and my husband had a lamb dish and almost took the pattern off the plate! Everything spotlessly clean also and staff all lovely. Would definitely recommend. Regrets.. we had only booked one night.!

We had a wonderful stay, the location and food were both excellent but it was the attitude and team work of the staff which added that extra special touch. Much has been added to make stays as comfortable and enjoyable as possible including lovely gardens with seating and fire pits.

Excellent hotel with super friendly staff. I stayed here for one night but was made to feel very welcome. When I arrived and saw the views I wished I was staying longer. I would definitely return and recommend to friends. The room was clean and comfortable, outside by the lake it was magical and I even found a small fairy garden. Definitely stay again if I came to Scotland

Not long back from our fourth visit and we were not disappointed. A very relaxing environment in and around the hotel set in a beautiful place. Thanks to Michelle and ALL her staff for making our stay first class. Service and food excellent. A wee mention for Veni who is quite a character and who was always a cheerful face behind the bar. We’ll definitely be back.

Stunning Hotel overlooking to beautiful Loch Awe. This place holds a special place in my heart as me and my wife got engaged whilst staying here, and it is a very romantic setting and location. The drive is a narrow, winding lane, but once you get there it's totally worth it. Have a wee dram next to the firepit overlooking the Loch, perfect way to spend an evening. One of my favourite hotels I've ever stayed in.

My husband and I took our ******* Terrier, Willow on her holidays to Taychreggan back in June. We had a fantastic stay and Willow was treated like the doggo princess she is. The staff are really what make Taychreggan, they’re so attentive and friendly and you really are made to feel at home. They were all great with Willow too - she can be a little timid around strangers and can sometimes bark, but the continuous supply of biscuits and balls at the front door helped settle her in. It’s an absolutely beautiful setting and we were very lucky to have beautiful sunny weather to match - not always guaranteed in Scotland. The road into the hotel is a bit of a windy single track but this is what gives Taychreggan it’s private, secluded feel so it’s worth the drive. And it’s a great base for exploring Oban and the rest of Argyll. We ate breakfast every morning in the dog friendly conservatory area (dogs are kept separate from the main dining room) which was beautiful and had dinner once which was a bit of a treat. The food and cocktails were 10/10 and were even brought all the way down to the waterfront for us when we sat there. A great wee find and somewhere we’ll definitely recommend to friends and family!
