This was my husband and I's first time in Cancun. We really enjoyed staying at this resort and had a really good experience. Food and drinks were excellent, and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. The only bad thing that I would say about this place would be about the cancellation of excursions. We had booked through the resort to do a Jolly Roger boat night and a full day of fishing for a separate day, the weather was not in our favor unfortunately and both of these excursions were cancelled, but we were never notified of the cancellation. We would have to go back into the office for them to let us know that it had been cancelled. Otherwise, we had a great experience and definitely would stay at this resort again.

Didn’t like the fact that, even though it was all inclusive, felt like you always had to tip. Every time you would go up to a bar it would be room number which is fine but then you would have to sign a receipt area for tip. The main thing didn’t like about the resort was the pools were cold unless you were elite member and lack of restaurant choices. Also, after the seafood buffet three of the five members of party were ill with diarrhea within hours of the meal also, even though the mini bars in the fridge was supposed to be stocked daily it wasn’t and had to call the front desk. The resort overall was clean and the housekeeping staff was friendly and did an excellent job.

Our seven nights at Villa del Palmar were amazing. We weren’t sure what to expect since it was our first time to Cancun and an all inclusive. For the first few days we had to go to the concierge with questions about what was included often. They were very helpful and friendly at answering everything we came to them with. There was a bit of a language barrier a couple times but overall they spoke very good english.
A few things that I really liked about this property were the beach, which was cleaned every morning of sea****, the numerous pools, the aesthetic beauty of the property, the view from our room, and the room itself, and the travel agency on property.
A few minor things to point out that I wasn’t so happy about were that the shower water has an off putting odor that takes a couple days to get used to, the seals to the slider door and room door were insufficient causing the wind to whistle through them quite loudly. I ended up having to put a towel at the bottom of the door, and MacGyvering a makeshift seal made out of toilet paper on the slider door, and our TV had issues connecting to the network most of the time. Also, the activities we were interested in didn’t always happen as advertised, and a couple of our dinner reservations were canceled due to the restaurant being closed last minute.
Otherwise, the room service was prompt, the maids came to restock our fridge often and the food was better than expected for an AI. I highly recommend this resort.

Absolutely great experience. We did spend more for a large room, but it had everything we could want.
This is less of a party resort, but you can still get beverages until 11pm.
Mintues walk on the beach to the Isla Mujeres Ferry. Great sand, great staff, and a welcoming experience.
Very client focused. Rules are in place, but they focus on guest enjoyment.
Highly recommended.

It was a very pleasant stay at Villa Del Palmar from staff to food. Overall one of the best resort I have ever stayed! Sergio from Davino is the best always looking to help and made us feel very welcome! Alejandro from Zama was also great very knowledgeable of all dishes and great food recommendations from him! ! Antonio from the pool staff went beyond to help us get whatever we needed very friendly as well!
La Casona I was expecting a bit more but it was just okay! Legend is great if you love sports. Tried to get a game on but they didnt have the channel! Jacob from front desk was great as well! Made our check in and check out very smooth!
Will definitely be back soon!

Traveled with 2 kids (7&8). We had a terrific experience. Lots of different pools for the kids. They loved the rain bridge and pool, as it wasn't heated (it was plenty warm) so it wasn't very busy at all.
The food was pretty good (better than I expected at an all inclusive). We loved the steakhouse and Davinos (again, it's not amazing, but better than expected at a resort). We didn't love Zama, but other people seemed to like it. Don't be scared of the buffet. It was WAY better than expected. I expected it to be gross, but it was pretty solid!!
My wife did yoga every day with Lina and thought she was absolutely fantastic!
Adrian at the bar outside the steakhouse was the best bartender. Loved talking with him, he worked with me until I found the perfect drink (Ranch water with mint - lime, mint, tequila, soda water - no sugar). He made fun frozen stuff for the kids, and he left the tab open all day so I only had to sign and tip at the end of the day.
Victor took care of us by the pool, bringing waters and food (the ceviche from bites was awesome, my wife and I ate it every day for lunch).
Overall we had a blast, I hated signing tabs every 5 seconds for an all inclusive, but Adrian solved that problem. The tab at checkout was correct and they took the "$20/day credit" off without us even asking.
We used eTransfers for rides from the airport to the resort (round trip), they were great. On time and had beers in the van for us.
