Jeju Island Air One Hotel - A Terrible Review
1. This place is old and run down. The toilet seat felt flimsy and like it would fall off any minute – like the worst toilets in China from the 90s. The bathtub was tiny and old-fashioned, with no shower. The sink (pictured) was a small pedestal type. The TV was the size of a computer monitor. And get this, the air conditioning was locked on cooling mode! At night, the temperature was 12℃, and all the AC could do was blow cold air – ridiculous, right? I woke up freezing in the middle of the night.
2. The hygiene was appalling. The sofa was covered in a layer of dust and grime. The whole room smelled moldy, as if no one had lived there in ages. The slippers they provided were supposedly sanitized and communal – with hygiene like that, I wouldn't dare wear them.
3. The pricing is completely erratic. One minute it's 1500 RMB, then 1500, then 750. In reality, it usually costs only 200-300 RMB. The worst part is, once you book, you can't cancel. It's truly, truly, truly not worth it. I saw a hotel nearby for just over 400 RMB that had smart toilets and was in a new building, with prices generally stable between 400-600. I understand price increases, but not like this. From 300 to 1500 RMB? Isn't that a bit extreme? The conditions simply don't match the price. Other hotels also raise their prices, but only by about 1.5 times, and their conditions are far superior.
4. The photos online are completely misleading compared to the actual place. I've traveled to many countries and regions over the years and have never encountered such a dishonest establishment. The price and conditions are extremely mismatched. I have no idea how Ctrip and Qunar allowed such a place to be listed – which rogue agent brought it in? It's utterly disappointing!!!
