A very good experience. My wife and I arrived at the hotel in the afternoon. When we drove into the underground garage, the security guard was already waiting for us at the parking lot. He helped us get our luggage and guided us to the front desk of the hotel. When we arrived at the front desk, every hotel staff member was smiling. While we were checking in, the hotel housekeeper, Ms. Gu Jialan, added WeChat to introduce all the hotel facilities and help us book dinner. There was a comfortable smile throughout the entire process! After checking in, the receptionist at the front desk helped us with our luggage and introduced the details of the hotel along the way. After checking into the room, we took a short rest and contacted the butler to help us book the SPA. A 90-minute hotel feature - Himalayan rock salt therapy, my wife and I felt great. Super cool and very comfortable. At the beginning of dinner, the service staff in the hotel restaurant were all smiling and the dishes were very good. At present, domestic hotels, as far as all the hotels we have stayed in, the hotel hardware is impeccable, in terms of service, I think it should also be the ceiling. The rooms are adjacent to each other but they don’t interfere with each other. They are scattered and strange at night. The place is quiet and the proprietress is very enthusiastic, picking us up all the way, the parking lot and the hotel are just a few steps away, it's easy to find and very convenient. Quirky, beautiful beyond belief, and peaceful, this hotel offers tranquility and comfort within the walls of Xitang Ancient town. Spotless room, quality bed linen and great temperature, the staff is at hand for any questions or needs and always very helpful. Room is not dressed down every day, which would be nice. Water is provided, but there is no coffee in the village so bring with if you like for breakfast. An overall excellent experience in an authentic setting. Highly recommend.

This is a marvelous homestay-guesthouse. Located in a quiet area of the old-town, but very close to many bars and restaurants. Next door to a temple. The owner is a friendly man who loves cats... and has three lazy, fat cats who sleep most of the time. He even gave us chilled bottles of Perrier French mineral water upon our arrival! The courtyard has two Loquat trees which provided many delicious fruits. Our room was upstairs in this renovated old Qing-Dynasty house. We had a small private balcony. The bed was very comfortable, with great bolster pillows for watching movies on the huge screen. There was a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was huge and even included a Japanese toilet with bidet functions. Soft towels. Good toiletries. The included breakfasts, served in the courtyard, were wonderful. Fried bread, two-kinds of dumplings, soy milk, boiled eggs. Delicious coffee. Watermelon slices. Xitang is a beautiful, if a bit over-commercialized ”ancient” town. We enjoyed our visit, and this lovely guest-house. The guesthouse is a bit hard to locate. It is in the Eastern part of the old town, near the bar street. For those who enjoy Hanfu, there are MANY shops nearby where you can rent the costumes.
