Stayed here only one night -the sleeping quality was very good and hotel clean. Bit of a disaster regarding the hotel sorting our collection and delivery back to airport as the shuttle was late and dropped us at wrong terminal. Reasonable prices and the food was outstanding.

My husband and I stayed here twice while travelling through Joberg. It's nestled in a fantastic location close to Rosebank Arts and Crafts Market and "The Zone" which has many nice restaurants/bars. As an added bonus it is also directly connected to Rosebank Mall. The hotel's modern rooms provide a comfortable haven, while the staff are all very lovely and helpful.

We have travelled extensively throughout the world but can honestly say that 54 on Bath Hotel was one of THE BEST experiences we have had anywhere. Due to an unexpected medical event my wife spent the first 2 weeks of our stay in hospital. Meanwhile I was at the hotel for 26 days until she joined me half way through our stay and while we waiting for her surgeon to supply a Fit to Fly certificate. We cannot speak more highly of ALL the staff , from the most senior to junior members. They made us feel like part of their hotel family and even put on a farewell afternoon tea for us the day before we departed. The food in the restaurant is sensational. Breakfast choices are more than plentiful with so much variety. The evening menu is fine dining. We ate in our room sometimes ordering room service. The quality of the meals was exceptional. The rooms are all beautifully appointed and serviced daily. It is a boutique style hotel and would easily be on a par with any similar sized hotel in Belgravia or Grosvenor Square London. There is a lovely private outside area which is available to guests at all times to soak up the sunshine. Guests can choose to eat outdoors when the weather permits instead of in the dining room. There's also a lap pool. By taking the lift to Level 2 there is an inter-connecting chandeliered corridor that leads to Rosebank Mall. Fabulous shops, restaurants and cafes. We cannot speak highly enough of 54 on Bath. If you are going to Johannesburg for Business or Leisure, don't look anywhere else !

Stayed here recently on our trip to Johannesburg. Nicely located in Rosebank close to the shopping mall. Hotel is a lovely boutique hotel, staff are very friendly. The room we had was clean and functional, allbeit we only stayed the one night.

I didn't get to stay at 54 on Bath. I made a reservation online. When I went to apply the loyalty benefit, it would not allow me to do so. I contacted the hotel as per their online instruction to do so. The receptionist, hearing my request, told me she was busy with a client and would phone me back. Understandable. Thirty minutes later no call. I called her back and she said I had to resolve the matter online. I then ask her where on line and she doesn't know, she has to call someone to help. I ask her what the cancellation policy is and she says "6pm!" I ask her to escalate to a manager. The manager comes online and I tell her about the loyalty issue. She too insists i fix it online, and despite incessantly affirming that my reservation is not reflecting online, she tells me that's where it needs to be fixed. She also tells me she needs to find out what's wrong and will call back. Of course that doesn't happen. I call back and decide to cancel my booking. I ask what the cancellation policy is. I get told as long as it is before 6pm before my day of arrival. When I confirm 6pm she changes it to 12pm "depending on reservations". I tell her i wish to cancel my booking now and can she do that. Again, she insists that I go online and cancel the booking. I tell her the reservation is not reflecting online on my account. I send her a screenshot. The screenshot clearly shows "No reservation for these dates". She tells me I have the wrong end date 2025. I change the date and still no reservation reflected. Again, she tells me I have to cancel online. Until I INSIST that she does it via telephone, she doesn't. Then all I get is, "it's cancelled", knowing she has not made the cancellation but just wants to get me off the phone. So I verify my 100% refund and when I'm likely to get my refund. She tells me it will be returned EFT. I tell her it's a foreign card!! She tells me it will go back on the card. Only when I tell her that I've recorded the conversation, does she say "sorry". When I tell her i'm coming on to trip advisor she says- "i hope you're not going to do that." 54 on Bath a 5 star boutique hotel!!!!!! I have booked all my clients in your hotel. This is just shocking service. I would have done anything to save the business when the client asked for a cancellation. They didn't even ask me why I was cancelling. So 54 on Bath - here's why. When I am paying the rates I do for a 5 star experience, I don't expect incompetent staff, a website that is dysfunctional and not even an apology. And when we ask for a cancellation, cancel with verification. This is why Trip Advisor is so powerful!

Located in an upscale neighbourhood in J’ burg and I felt safe walking around in the vicinity. A beautiful hotel with nostalgic decorations and the facilities are well maintained and kept clean. The breakfast was like a Michelin fine dining experience and the servers were courteous. However, the front desk did not leave me with a good impression when checking in as she was rather cold. The other front desk personnel that I approached later on was also not hospitable. I believe the Management shall take note of this shortcoming.

THE CHECK IN date was incorrect. My room was nice, but never cooled down to be comfortable, Front Desk was called a second time. Convenient Shopping Mall attached. Must see is the African Native Craft store at the ground floor of the mall. Go there first for souvenirs.

This is a beautiful hotel with all the amenities you could ask for. The rooms are nicely decorated, clean, with bathrobes, espresso machine, and towel warmers . The restaurant is beautiful and the food was excellent. And most of all, the staff were really great. Very friendly and helpful. We were just doing an overnight as part of a group tour, so didn’t get to explore the neighbourhood, but I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Everyone who worked there was incredibly polite and respectful. The breakfasts were amazing - they give you a bill at the end off breakfast, which made me think that the cold buffet area was complimentary but the hot made-to-order wasn't, but I learned it's all included - I suppose they give you a bill just to allow you to leave a tip. Good area, I wouldn't walk around after dark though. We asked for directions to a restaurant and they sent someone from the hotel to walk us there which was very nice (make sure to tip them!). Overall, it was exactly what we needed for two nights to get over jet lag before moving on to Kruger.

Excellent hotel for short flight stayover. Room and facilities very good. Food excellent. Great staff, very helpful. Loved the room decoration for our honeymoon. Good access to shopping mall. Only positive things to say about this hotel.

The hotel has good rooms, bathroom well laid out and spacious. Good comfortable bed as well. The service is also good. Breakfast is mainly cold breakfast with the option of ordering something hot. For me a buffet works better. The hotel is next to Rosebank mall but some distance from the bigger malls like Sandton.

Amazing Location with an abundance of night life. Also its connected to the mall hence easy access to shops. Amazing stuff and spacious nicely decorated rooms. Breakfast was fresh with a variety of foods to select from. Did i mention the night life around? the restaurants? great place to be!
