Kakegawa Grand Hotel

The hotel's facilities and services are somewhat outdated; without updates, it's unlikely to attract guests. I wouldn't have stayed there if I weren't going to the bird and flower garden. However, the bird and flower garden is definitely worth a visit, not only for shoebills but also for other common birds like eagles and owls, some of which can even walk right next to you – a truly unique experience.

The room was small, like a business hotel, and the curtains didn't block out the light, so mornings were tough. The facilities also felt outdated. I think I'll stay at a business hotel next time.

The location is good, right in front of the station. However, the room I stayed in was not clean. There was a pile of dust by the bedside, and a large number of flies were swarming around. I killed five of them in one night, but more kept appearing. I did inform the front desk when I checked out, but... The service was about the same as a typical business hotel. It's a shame, considering the good location.

I stayed here for one night on business. It was a rainy day, but it was conveniently located near the station. The room facilities were a little old, but I was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was also delicious. I would like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.

Although the bathroom in the room and other areas felt a bit old, it was a nice hotel! It seems that some people hold weddings there as well, so it must be a good local hotel. Even though I'm a non-smoker, I couldn't get a non-smoking room and ended up in a smoking room, but the smell was hardly noticeable and it was clean!

Although it has a Showa-era feel, the breakfast is made fresh and I felt they put a lot of effort into it.
