Amada Colossos Resort

We have just stayed for a week at the Amada colossus resort. We had a family room and it was lovely with a sea view , very spacious with a separate bath and shower and lots of storage space. We arrived late at night and the staff had given us some drinks and sandwiches in our room. The hotel is 20 mins by car to the airport. We found the resort beautiful and there was lots of things to do in the daytime. There was aquacise, yoga, volleyball, darts and things for children in the day as well as some water slides. The adults swim up bar was great. We thought the food in the buffet restaurant was lovely and there was so much choice and even an adults only seating area . We also had a meal in the Greek and Italian restaurants which were lovely. The resort is kept super clean with staff collecting empty cups all day. We stayed all inclusive and it with definitely worth it as there isn’t much outside the resort, we would advise to avoid just B+B as the drinks were quite expensive and no restaurants within walking distance. We hired a car at the hotel to visit Rhodes town and Lindos. There is also a mini supermarket on site and some water sports at the beach. Overall the stay was lovely and amazing for a chilled week, the pool did close at 6pm though which we thought was quite early as it is still very warm in the summer at this time. There is some entertainment + shows in the evening but tends to end at 10pm, however the adult bar is open until 1am for drinks still. We had an amazing time and definitely recommend this resort.

Accurate to images and description: *I visited with my partner Pool area: •A lovely pool area, winds can cause parasols to tip over, the staff closed these parasols atleast 4 times during my 7 night stay, so shade isn't guaranteed. •The two pool bars were great, adults sections for the alcohol (all kinds of varieties), the kids section offered ice creams slushies and milkshakes along side regular drinks. • Well maintained restriction for kids in the adult area, you can enjoy your time freely without children running around you. • downside to the adults pool bar, there is one barman, Thanos, who is making drinks most of the day, he has a pot washer but they could easily be serving basic drinks like beer, water, juices to save a pile up of customers (there is a spike of 15 ish people around frequently who are ordering numerous drinks, it's not effective having one barman there at all and makes the experience dissapointing) • in order to guarantee a sunbed 8:30am is ideal for choosing the perfect spot, you'd be lucky after 9:30am, you can have a later breakfast around 10am once the sunbeds are now secured (staff can remove reserved sunbeds if noone is present before 10am) • There's around 300 sunbeds around the pool and another 300 on the beach (rough count), so be aware if you want to use these facilities. Adults evening lounge: •A luxurious experience, this is table service only so you find a seat and a waitress will come and take your order, plenty of drinks to choose from, there are 3-5 drink makers and 3 waitresses, always back and forth, very friendly and helpful. •The entertainment was repetitive unfortunately, over 6 times in the lounge, we had a lady play the violin to a backing track twice throughout the week, the same for a man and his saxophone. It was nice to hear although I was expecting something different by the fourth night. The reason I have given 4 star instead of 5 is as follows: • A couple of the drinks glasses I drank from in the main buffet smelt unclean, perhaps they need to wash glasses at the end of each meal properly instead of washing there and then. They need to look into their cutlery / dish washing procedures. • There was often an unpleasant smell adjacent to the kitchen entrance (smelt like the sewage system or vents) not a major fault but not ideal when about to eat. • I discovered ants loitering below the curtains by one of the window seats (indoor, in the blue room) Flys were an occasional annoyance also. • The hotel room bathroom had 7/8th walls, with translucent stall like doors meaning that there was a clear pathway from the toilet room and shower out into the sink area Where's toilet smells could easily travel to the bedroom (view the images for this hotel to understand what I mean). Be conscious of this feature and whom you would be sharing the room with before you book. I believe there is a venting system anyway so it shouldn't be a huge red flag. Absolutely recommend. Every single staff member was so polite, extremely helpful and friendly. We had a late flight so got to the hotel at 2:30am, the staff on the desk were so helpful, explained everything to us (without it dragging on because he knew we were tired). They also put sandwiches, fresh wrapped fruit and bottles of water in the room incase we needed a snack after travelling. I asked many times at the desk for information on buses, tours, taxis, recommendations etc and every time they gave me all the info I needed. Taxis are all set rates and they arrive so quick. Buses are cheap too. You have to pay cash for all taxis and buses. You can pop in and out of the buffet restaurant as many times as you like. Food selection is great! I’m a slight fussy eater, along with eating gluten free and there are always options. You can ask the staff for allergen information and they are super helpful. We went to the Italian Al La Carte one evening and they do gluten free pizza and pasta! Drinks and bars round the pool are great. The beach bar is great too! We don’t drink alcohol but I could see the amount of choice that there was. We didn’t watch any evening entertainment but we could hear from our balcony and the vibes were great. Definitely go into Rhodes town! We did an evening sunset cruise for 1 hour just €20 each … just walk along the harbour and get some info from the stands. We also did a 2.5 hour boat tour with snorkelling from Faliraki, again would highly recommend as it’s a great way to see the beauty of the island. I would 100% go back here.

Excellent Resort This is good for families & children. In the main dining room there is separate seating. There are extra meals outside & bars everywhere. For coffee juices & alcohol. The kids have their own cute buffet. There are three more restaurants Italian Greek & Asian. The entertainment team are great. Water sports. Each night in the amphitheater shows singers. They're also children show's & activities. The food is excellent & plentiful. The rooms lovely. The beds like heaven. Very clean hotel. Totally enjoyed my vacation. It's next to Ferelanki. I would be remiss not to mention the staff that made my stay so memorable. Andreous responsible for the main restaurant. Matzgous operation manager Manos when ever I needed something . Nicole duty manager who found where the sheets were from Jacob duty manager very helpful with reservations. Dimitris who was responsible for towels $umbrellas. Every morning I found two longe chairs with towels & and umbrella. I have been to Rhodes many times. This hotel resort is pure luxury Thank you all 🪸

The whole resort was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely apart from the glass door on the toilet. The swimming pool was huge but it was difficult to get a sunbed. Most sunbeds had been reserved by 9am. The pool didn't open till 10am. The cocktails were very well made but there was a shortage of staff at the bars. The food in the main restaurant is my big complaint. There was lots to choose from but the food was not hot, in fact at times it wasn't even warm. The food in the Ala Carte restaurants was very good and hot. Overall a lovely holiday but would not return because of the luke warm food.

The hotel and its infrustructure are fantastic and made for families with kids but i want to highlight the whole staff working in the hotel. I can’t express enough how kind, nice, polite, helpfull they all are, especially for kids! My little one year old felt like in heaven and loved them all! Special thanks to Eleni ( the manager of the Greek restaurant) who made our meals trully special! Thank you!

We’ve just returned from a wonderful stay at the Amada Colossos, we enjoyed so much that I thought I would write a review to share our experience. We went as a party of 7 (me, my husband, father-in-law and four daughters) and stayed for 11 nights. I’ve split my comments below between the accommodation, amenities, entertainment and food and tried to be balanced in my views, including a couple of things we think could be improved or just wished we knew before we went. However, there is no mistaking that this was one of the best holidays our family has ever been on, and we will happily stay at this hotel again in the future. Accommodation The rooms were clean and kept to a good standard. We had two rooms of three and one room with one. The third bed is a fold-out chair bed but was of a good enough size that an adult could sleep on it. We had a room facing the sea with a balcony. There was plenty of room to sit out on an evening (or dry out your swimwear!) and large walls giving you plenty of privacy from your neighbours. My father-in-law had a room to himself and had a bottle of wine and fruit waiting for him when he arrived as well as a delivery of chocolates on his last day – not sure what he did to deserve this extra treatment – but very welcome! Amenities The main pool stretches the length of the hotel, with about a third dedicated to adults only. We stayed at the children’s end and our daughters had lots of fun and space to swim around. Both the adult and the child’s ends have a swim up bar. The children’s pool end gets deeper the further you venture in (up to 1.4m at the deepest point), so you may need to keep close to smaller children if they’re not strong swimmers. The waterpark is a separate section at the front of the hotel and with its dedicated toddler area and larger slides, provided lots of fun for all our children (ages 5 to 11), it also has its own café so you can spend the whole day here if you want. The pool is of a fixed depth, about waist height on an adult. The floor can get very hot in the sun so worth bringing sandals for the children. There is a watersports area by the beach which will allow you to hire boats as well as offering your typical banana boat ride. We felt the prices were on the expensive side – €25 per person for a 7-minute banana boat ride (and given by the lack of take-up) suspect the other guests felt the same. The beach bar was great for getting kebabs, chips, salads and sandwiches if you don’t want to go to the main restaurant (or just want to squeeze an extra meal into your day!). The food was very tasty and a firm favourite of our children. A range of meals were constantly being prepared and you just had to walk up and grab whatever you wanted. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite as easy to get a drink at the adjoining bar. This seemed understaffed and there would regularly be a 5-10 minute queue to get a drink. Often it was much quicker to head in towards one of the poolside bars.

Really good service. The food was good and the pool area was great. Very kind and polite employees. We are very pleased with the spa services. Good variety of activities. The shower room is a good idea, but there was no clean towels and the room was not cleaned.
