Well I don’t know where to start … I stayed at this hotel 4/5 years ago when it was a Thomas cook hotel and was looking to forward to coming back , until we arrived and both pools closed asked reception what was wrong and all I got was ‘fixed tommorrow’ and then she proceeded to greet us by taxing some kind of tax for the country ?us none of this mentioned upon booking the holiday ??then went up to our room the thurther block away even though the hotel was no where near full capacity so surely fill closed rooms up first ? After close inspection of the room matress was DISCUSTING cob webs everywhere, air con barely blowing cold air would have been colder leaving my hair dyer on all night ! The food her is a 2/10 bacon is swimming LITTERALLY swimming in grease , the food at the snack bar was lovely pizza gyros chips etc but the was the only part what was some what enjoyable but same thing every day ? Food at night had once was cold and had to try and give it another chance and then ate out every night since then because it was freezer might have been a wide selection of salad but not main was hands down the worst degree of all inclusive food I’ve ever had , bar staff rude not one of the entertainment team interacted with us , I cannot belive how much this hotel had changed I never revisit the same place but after then first time I come it was amazing and now I will never ever return to this hotel , 3 lovely slides but only 1 works ? Please don’t waste your money on coming here I wish u had read some more up to date reviews of this place because I would have rather lost out on money then come , GOODLUCK

The hotel is clean and well maintained and the staff are helpful and friendly. We didn't eat in the bar so I can't comment on the food but it looked good and plentiful if a little overpriced! Be aware though that almost EVERYTHING is an extra so budget quite a bit more if you want to use sunbeds, air conditioning or wifi. We didn't as the costs were outrageous. We had a Superior Studio apartment and the beds were very comfortable and the room cleaned daily. We didn't find any of the 'complimentary' toiletries which they advertise although we had a lovely but empty liquid soap dispenser! The shower is really good and would be better if the shower screen had been bigger. They do supply a squeegee for you to remove all the water that sprays all over the bathroom floor. The shower has a fixed head and can't be adjusted and there is a switchable hand shower head for squirting your 'bits'. A good hair dryer is provided. The biggest deal-breaker for us was that in no way was it a fully equipped self-catering apartment. There is NO KETTLE, NO TOASTER and very little of anything else in the way of kitchen equipment. A coffee peculator is provided which is useless (and I stress useless) for making tea. If you want to self-cater, the very reason we booked this hotel, don't bother booking here. You will be very disappointed. If you want to eat out there are many very good restaurants within very short walking distance. You'll be lucky to get breakfast before 10:30 AM though. If you are a light sleeper then think about what it would be like sleeping within one meter of your fridge compressor turning on and off all night long. The balcony is far from private and ours had only a view of an orange tree which was sprayed with chemicals (I assume) every couple of days! It was right next to the walkway to all the other apartments which is great if you want to meet everyone while you're trying to eat your boiled egg and no toast breakfast washed down with lukewarm tea! All in all we had a great time in Rhodes and this hotel could so easily be made to be perfect but sadly I really think they are more interested in taking money than providing a comfortable self-catering holiday experience. Still gave them an above average score though for all the good reasons stated above but we won't be staying there again for all the many bad reasons. Be sure to check out the Royal bar just round the corner. The food is wonderful, the owner and staff are fantastic and the prices reasonable. A bit further on is the San Allotte restaurant which is equally good (maybe better) but more expensive.

The hotel is situated in the centre of the new town area close to harbour and lots restaurants and bars. It is within easy walking distance of bus station and rhodes old town. The room are basic but nice. Its a family run hotel and the father manager made us feel welcome. The breakfast is basic but then the price for hotel is cheap. I was more than happy with everything about hotel. Downside is street noise but is is situated in busy area. For the money paid its well worth it and I would not think twice about returning. If you are looking for cheap hotel with basic breakfast located close to everything then check out price.

Holiday didn’t start well,free transport to hotel was messed up,ended up paying for taxi,took hotel one week to pay refund.During this time Luisa was very helpful .After my problem with illness during our visit in October,I had some concerns,but these turned out to be unfounded.The food and service in all the A La Carte restaurants was excellent as were the staff,however as last year the brunch didn’t impress me.Service at the main bar was great as were the waiters.On a final note,I would like to thank Michaelis at the beach bar who I have known for many years.Finally I hope my points get updated soon.

So the reviews are true. This place is dated. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pictures of the pools at night. It really is early 90s at best. See past the doric columns in the bathrooms, heavily glossed dark varnished doors, saloon style frosted glass strung from brass and fake grecian freezes the Mitsis product does not disappoint. The room was large with 3 full-size beds for our family (no sharing a sofa bed here) The a la carte restaurants by the pool coupled eith the book only italian and asian meant we never had to eat in the buffet for an evening meal. The cocktails were generous and service fabulous. Second to none was the kids club. Our kids got welcome gifts on arrival, treats throughout the stay and a goodbye gift from the kids team. It’s the first time my kids have actually asked to go to kids club and the team were amazing with them. The hotel is 10 min from the port where there are lots of water activities on offer and 15 minutes from the old town. Didn’t feel trapped in a resort as plenty to do locally. I would definitely see past the dated reviews and fully recommend the Mitsis Grand. I’ll also definitely try out some of their other hotels. 2// a fabulous family holiday.
