Location (views and silence), cleanliness, willingness and smiling attitude of the staff. The staff is able to arrange or recommend a trip, exchange money or wash your clothes. The pool, massage and yoga room with an incredible view of the surrounding mountains is a bonus that pampers you.

Wonderful hotel with extremely attentive, smiling, kind and friendly people. Starting with the reception, through therapists, drivers, bar, cooks, house keepers, gardeners, builders... This beautiful hotel is in the heart of jungle in the mountains with a beautiful view of the hills, where you can watch the sunrise and sunset from the terrace and yet not far from the famous city Kandy. Very beautiful, clean and comfortable place with many lovely details which is pleasure to look at. Everything is possible here :) Excellent food, spacious rooms and beautiful gardens. This place heals your soul and body. I very recommend to spend here some days in time of your traveling (more = better) and feel the atmosphere of deep calm, nature, hospitality, beautiful care, ayurveda treatment or at least massage, delicious meal, yoga, swimming in the pool, comfortable rooms, kind staff. We were suprised, we did not want to move to any other place from that paradise. Must visit.

Beautiful location in the hills. Great breakfast. Lovely dinners. Super service from Roshin and his team! The room was large with a beautiful large balcony. The most sensational bathroom with large window the length of the bath. Minibar and kettle in room. Incessant building noise (they advised us 24 hours before our arrival!) throughout our 10 day stay. Eventually made good with a room discount upon departure. We did many outings to escape the noise. And the pool was quieter. Nonetheless a beautiful hotel, but the tranquility we should have had wasn't there! I'm sure it will be wonderful when finished.

Great location, amazing views, great hotel, great staff especially Anton who was very helpful and went beyond his duties. Currently, Hotel is undergoing some construction/renovation, noise level acceptable. Definitely coming back soon

Beautiful place, in the middle of nature, everything is set up with eye for details. I received such a warm welcome, people were perfectly friendly and attentive. The food is also delicious and big portions, for good prices. Nice trip through the mountains from Kandy by tuk tuk. Lovely place for a getaway, would recommend!

Great nice hotel & Spa, Great Ayurvedic spa facility, Ayurvedic Treatment was very good. Everything was nice. The much better really best Manu for lunch, I would surely choose it again next time I visited Galavilla Hotel & Spa. Great location, Great service & Service team. All services value for the money. Very comfortable. I Would definitely recommend. Thank you for All.

High up in the hills outside Kandy we found this garden paradise and a very warm welcome. Personalised service from dear Situ at reception, Jackard of housekeeping, Roshan in the restaurant and Pradeep, sales (and all else) manager made us feel very much at home. The garden alone in this property merits the attention of every garden lover and is a continuous labour of love with hidden surprises around every corner. As for our room, it was extremely spacious and the wide wrap around balcony provided us with spectacular views of the Knuckles Range. One night was all too short. This small hotel offers pickup from as far as Colombo airport. They really make sure that you feel at home from the moment your plane touches down. We didn't use the outdoor Yoga studio or the Ayurveda spa, but both look beautiful and serene, as did the swimming pool and jaccuzi. This hotel was a truly surprising find and we will be back - only this time for a longer stay. I recorded a video of birdsongs here which is my best one yet of all of Sri Lanka. What a place!

Stay in Galavilla was absolutely perfect, all my wishes were fulfiled thanks to lovely people, working in Galavilla. All the rooms are beautiful and clean with terrace, where you have stunning view of local nature . You can enjoy a delicious cuisine of Sri Lanka, go for a massage there and reliable and always friendly service. I can absolutely recommend Galavilla, the best expirience ever.👍👍👍
