We were very pleased with our relaxing weekend getaway. It's a small establishment, but that makes them very welcoming. You need to let them know in advance to order food from their kitchen, but it's definitely worth trying. We had a stew with wild chicory, and it was the best meat dish I've had in a long time. I recommend booking your accommodation with breakfast included; you'll start your day off right with regional greens and a wide variety of breakfast options.

Agora Pansiyon is far more than a place to stay — it’s an experience that captures the true soul of the Aegean. From the moment you sit under the trees surrounded by nature, you feel the calm, the sincerity, and the timeless beauty of this place. Every plate tells a story. The olive oil dishes are light yet full of character; the yogurt with spicy red pepper is perfectly balanced; the fresh herb and white cheese meze bursts with flavor. The grilled eel was simply outstanding — crispy outside, tender inside, seasoned to perfection, and beautifully paired with lemon. And the final touch… the watermelon dessert — a rare and traditional delicacy, made with mastery and love. It’s not just sweet; it’s nostalgic, elegant, and memorable. Inside, the atmosphere reflects the warmth of an old Aegean home: brick fireplace, vintage lamps, books, photos, and a corner dedicated to Atatürk — all creating a space filled with authenticity and soul. Agora Pansiyon truly deserves its place in the Michelin Guide. It’s a celebration of good food, pure hospitality, and genuine craftsmanship. Mithat & his family made us very welcome in their pension set in a beautiful garden. Rooms are clean & comfortable with plenty of hot water for showers and heating which was needed for the cooler March evenings. Excellent wifi throughout. The delicious food provided at breakfast and in the restaurant is locally sourced & has received a green Michelin award. Took advantage of Mithat's guiding skillls with a 9km walk in the local mountains seeing unique rock formations and colourful wild flower meadows as well as ancient rock art and the Yediler monastery. Highly recommend this pension if you are looking to stay somewhere off the tourist trail in Turkiye and experience something a bit different.

Delicious food, a light, modern room with a comfy bed, hot shower and balcony with a view, in a stunning landscape with extraordinary archeology and varied bird life. Our knowledgable and loquacious host Mithat, is a tour guide, hike leader and advocate for this gorgeous region. His mother is a wonderful cook and his father and brother are friendly and helpful presences, when they are not running their Michelin-recognised restaurant. This place is a real gem

Bundan 1 ay önce de kaldığım Agora Pansiyonun banyosunda duştan çıkarken, mermerler çok kaygan olduğu için kayıp arkaya doğru kafatasımın üzerine düştüm. Nisan 26 da, 7 arkadaşımla beraber düzenlediğim Yoga Aktivitesini samimiyetlerine ve önlem alacaklarına güvendiğim burada yapmaya karar verdim. Seyahat öncesinde arayıp banyo için bir önlem alınmasını rica ettim. ( çok uygun fiyatlı su kaydırmaz paspaslar). Otele girer girmez fark ettim ki hiç bir odaya böyle bir paspas konmamış, merkezden uzak bir yer olduğu için de temin etmem mümkün olmadı. Burada yaşadığım bu büyük kaza sonrasında kaygı ve stres tedavisi görmeye başladım... Bunun dışında misafirlerime görevli Mithat Seçin tarafından çok kaba davranıldı, ne bir Günaydın ne de bir Hoşça kal bile denmedi. Tavsiye üzerine gelen 3 kişilik odam kovulmacasına otelden gönderildi. Daha önce tanıştığımız bir işletme olarak tercih ettiğim otelden Mithat Serçin tarafından rehberlik hizmeti de satın aldım ama tur boyunca misafirlerimi azarladı ve tersledi. Turumuza katılan tek bir kadın misafirime özel bir ilgi gösterip, Bafa Gölü için satın aldığım tura gitmek için otelden ayrılırken, ben ve 6 kişiyi otelde bırakıp sadece iki kişi olarak motor ile ulaşım sağladılar, bizim arabamız olmasına rağmen bilgi vermediği için 2 genç kızımızla yürümek zorunda kaldık. Misafirlerimden bir bunu söylediğinde de tekrardan aksi ve ters bir cevap verdi. 2 gece kaldığımız Agora Pansiyon. Latmos Trevel ve Mithat Seçin in rehberlik alarak hem itibar kaybı hem de para verip kovulmuş olduk.

I wish we'd stayed longer here. This Pansiyon is lovingly family run. Mithat was so helpful and gave us advice on hiking and hiring a boat out on the lake to see the fantastic birds and where to walk in the village - pretty well anywhere to see impressive ruins. The food was fantastic and all local and cooked by mum. The rooms were fine with Aircon and decent bathrooms. I found the bed comfy. It's very rural and the Pansiyon is quite rustic but very attractive. Cockerels and an occasional donkey disturbed the peace.

Friendly family hotel with lovely food. The accommodation is fairly basic but clean and the owners could not have been more helpful in telling us about the village, the walks around it and what to see, and arranging a boat trip on the lake for us.

On this vacation with my family and friends, the hotel and its owner couldn't quite meet our expectations. First of all, I'd like to emphasize that while we weren't expecting a 5-star hotel, we were at least looking for a clean room and a friendly staff. The hotel owner's personal ego and rudeness only added to the negative effects of our two-day stay. I wanted to write this article specifically for those planning a trip along this route. Latmos is a beautiful region, but Agora Hostel shouldn't be your first or even your last choice.

Le lieu près du lac Bafa est assez unsolite et dans son jus, en plein centre du site historique d Heraklia.. Très bon accueil par la famille qui tient la pension. Table de bonne qualité même si trop chère. Les chambres sont simples . Nous avons fait une journée avec un guide dans la très belle montagne avoisinante. Découverte émouvante de dessins néolithiques et de belles peintures a fresco byzantines. C'est assez cher (200€pour 4) mais ça vaut le coup.

Posto incantevole immerso nella campagna e con un giardino curatissimo. Abbiamo bevuto una birra al tempio godendo della vista del sole che tramonta sul lago. La cena è stata meravigliosa e il prezzo modesto. Personale fantastico. Luogo non turistico ma autentico e bellissimo. Assolutamente consigliato. Teşekkür ederim

Agora nous a offert notre meilleur moment culinaire et hôtelier de tout notre voyage en Turquie (2 semaines). Tout d’abord le site du Lac Bafa, ainsi que les ruines antiques parsemées dans un paysage authentiquement agricole et pas touristique du tout, sont du plus grand intérêt. A l’hôtel, le patron est à la fois accueillant et parfaitement anglophone (ce qui aide vraiment à apprécier la cuisine). Les chambres arrangées avec goût sont dispersées dans un délicieux jardin, dans différentes maisonnettes, avec toujours une petite terrasse devant. Quant au dîner préparé par les parents du patron c’est vraiment une expérience à faire : à la fois intéressant, délicieux, tout en restant très simple et authentique. Impossible de tout citer mais une mention spéciale pour les plats d’anguille du lac. Propositions de vin qui valent également la peine. Que demander de plus ? Rien ! Comme on écrivait autrefois dans le Michelin : « Vaut le voyage ».
