What a wonderful hotel. From the moment we checked in until the moment we left we couldn’t fault a thing. The staff are second to none. Our room was beautiful, it was cleaned every day and had a patio and a little garden for extra privacy. The hotel as a whole is immaculate and the shuttle bus that takes you to and from Avithos beach and to local restaurants was the additional icing on the cake. Thoroughly deserving of its 5 star rating on here. We will definitely be returning.

Beautiful quiet setting, lovely room and pool, staff extremely helpful. Lovely decor in the room with a nice balcony & kitchen area with plenty of space to make breakfast and cook if you want to. Walkable to several tavernas and to a beach in 10 mins but several nice beaches a short drive away. Great place for young families or people who want to chill round a pool. We preferred to escape the slightly annoying bar music round the pool and head out to a beach but enjoyed the pool for short periods. We really appreciated being able to chill round the pool and then use a shower on last day after checkout.

We absolutely LOVED it here. The location is brilliant and the staff are always friendly and helpful (Christina especially always catering to our every need.) We had a maisonette apartment and it was perfect! Looking back we are so glad we chose to stay at Avithos resort, our holiday just wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for my birthday. Sophia made our stay very relaxing and welcome.very clean and well runned. Lovely pool area. Sophia booked my birthday meal and told the restaurant that it was a birthday which made the experience very lovely. Thank you would recommend to anyone staying in kefalonia and so close to airport 🛫 Many thanks

The hotel was excellent. Spotless, well maintained with a really nice vibe. The breakfast was lovely, pool.bar food delicious (although a little expensive compared to local restaurants) and the staff were sp friendly and efficient. We stayed in a deluxe family studio which was spacious and generally well equipped. A nice touch to have toiletries provided too. The kids loved the pool and a 10 min walk took us to Al Helis beach which was lovely- a really gentle slope into the sea which was great for splashing about in. We had some lovely food in Sea Salt before heading home. The few walkable tavernas were really nice, especially Dum Spero Spiros and the local supermarket had everything we needed in between eating out. A really lovely holiday and accommodation we'd happily go back to.

This is a really great hotel. Well designed, spacious and good sized rooms, very nice pool area and beautiful landscaping. Spotless everywhere and superb service - nothing is too much trouble. Great beaches and restaurants within walking distance. To top it all off, whilst it’s 5 myself by car from the airport, it feels totally rural and peaceful. It’s really hard to fault it. But I would make two constructive suggestions: (1) the food and drinks are expensive relative to nearby places which means they get underused by guests. For example buffet breakfast @ €18 feels too much (perhaps 12 or 13 max?) and the lunch menu almost feels like London prices. I think with more competitive pricing and, for example, happy hours for drinks, the captive guests would spend more time and money there and a lively atmosphere could develop in the evenings; (2) the generic music looping around the pool area quickly becomes repetitive. Would suggest replacing it with a more varied chilled out Ibiza / Buddha Bar type soundtrack, which would totally match and enhance the setting. But these aren’t reasons not to go, just things that could make it even better. As it is, it’s already superb. Thank you for your hospitality, Avithos Resort!

NIcely set out resort with attractive grounds and lovely swimming pool setting. Rooms do appear to be as photos but some are not quite as glamorous or have as much sun on them as others. A fair amount of style over substance occurs. Ultra clean and tidy in every way - cleaners and gardeners are on the go from 7am/8am ( sadly the cleaning trolleys make a fair wheelnoise however !!!) Staff are friendly ( English may not be their 1st language) and helpful. Car hire arranged speedily if reqd. Unfortunately the bar area was very under-utilised, mainly due, we assume, to the very high drinks prices and there was no food on offer in the evenings especially (breakfast available- which was an ok buffet - tho again expensive at 18 euro per person) . If we had known this in advance we would not have booked this resort. It felt quite lacking atmosphere and the looped background music after 2 days was testing. Also, no shuttle service to restaurants/beaches etc mentioned or offered.- such as Avithos Beach and its eateries (20 mins walk) Some local restaurants were open tho not all and were fine but a bit of a walk. Supermarket 11 mins, a pleasant stroll in daylight - dark at night. Ditto coffee/cake shop & 3 bars/restaurants.

We couldn't fault anything at the Avithos Resort. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and well equipped, while the pool area was splendid and spotless with a good selection of food and drinks from the bar. All members of staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend a car to explore the island but there are some great restaurants within walking distance.

By way of follow on to recent post by David K. Would agree with everything said about this hotel and had a great holiday but then always do on Kefalonia regardless of where we stay. We also lost some personal possessions whilst at the resort, during the first week my wife assumed she had misplaced an expensive perfume we put this down to bad luck at the time although my wife was convinced it never left the room, during the second I noticed a pair of my shorts were missing and could not be found, at the time I assumed I hadnt packed them but when I checked when home they were not where they are kept. Did not report to hotel as we were not sure at the time however in light of the previous review know feel pretty sure the items were taken from our room. Sad state of affairs. Hence will not be returning.
