Hotels near Pak Weep Beach in Khuekkhak

Was so impressed with this hotel 5 years ago that we returned again in October 2023 and they gave us the same room we occupied before. This was a water pool access room which is a must if you stay here. The rooms are large with a massive bed and has all the facilities you could wish for. Although we did no eat our main meals in the Italian restaurant we had breakfast which covers all variety of foods and freshly cooked eggs and bacon on request. All the staff are very pleasant and helpful. A particular mention to Tounchai the barman who served us daily at the pool bar during Happy hour with delicious cocktails. Also to the maid (sorry can't remember her name) who cleaned our room 1123 and left wonderful creations on our bed. The hotel is situated within 5 minutes walk from the beach and close to many bars and restaurants. Bang Niang Market which is 2 mins walk is open every Mon, Weds, Thur and Sat which does street food and has many stalls. The Waters is highly recommended.

The lady boss is very nice and can communicate via WhatsApp. In the alley of the main street, it is quiet in the bustle. There are many restaurants, convenience stores, massage parlors and laundromats around, which is great value for money. The landlady can help arrange airport pick-up for 1500b one-way, and you will pay in cash after airport pick-up.

We stayed here over a holiday weekend at the beginning of low season so the place was at maybe 35% capacity. The hotel is ideally located in an area renowned for surfing. The hotel provides board rentals and lessons at reasonable cost. We booked at the cheapest available rate and got a room at the back of the complex, which is a cluster of spartan -looking apartment blocks. The rooms were ok - there is a small sofa and a balcony with wood table and a pair of chairs. There's a window that looks out of the bathroom into the main room. The pool is nice, big and clean but needs some cosmetic maintenance. The staff are friendly enough and the beach restaurant is quite good. The beach is long with lots of sandy shallows and there is a beautiful cape a couple kilometers walk up the beach. I live in Phuket but somehow the sunsets are more stunning here. On the downside, the breakfast buffet was unremarkable, and the coffee was tasteless. We skipped it on the second morning. We spent a lot of time walking from our room through other room blocks due to its location, so if I were to stay here again (I probably would because of the location) I would book a room much closer to the beach - and bring my own coffeemaker. Due to it's layout and capacity I don't think I'd want to stay there during high season but in low season it was fairly quiet and quite nice.

The room is quite spacious, the bed is soft, the bathroom is very good, but the glass balcony has a few stains. Beautiful swimming pool, good service staff The breakfast was very good. There are food of many nationalities. Overall it is considered good and suitable for relaxing.

Been there few weeks ago and it's such an unforgettable experience!! Eventhough the hotel was still in a soft opening (at that time, not so sure about when it's gonna be full operate) but there are so many things than very nice. The room are very nice, clean and fluffy comforatble bed. Also have so many interesting detials about it. The food at the restaurant are DIVINE!! You must try PrumPra!! The food was so delicious yet there are stories in each dish. Breakfast also very nice, stay for 2 night the food are different on each morning, love it. The main pool are next to the beach so my kids can enjoy both at the same time. The pool bar also very nice as well. There's the rock pool next to the beach in the evening you can walk along the coast and enjoy witn the sunset view. The staff are very helpful and ready to help you :) Highly recommend!

We booked this 5 star resort and had a 3 star experience.pros and cons. Pros The staff were lovely, Nam and Yada were very friendly and looked after us very well in the Beach Bar restaurant. The A la Carte menu was large and the food was excellent. Smoothies were lovely and the wine was reasonable. In hindsight though I wish we had booked half board or bed and breakfast. Plenty of staff on reception. Great aircon Cons: All inclusive didn’t mean everything was all inclusive. Room service, the Japanese restaurant (the nearest bar to beach) and the drinks sold on the hotel beach were not included. Kids in the gym!!!!! Health and safety issues re the pool Not enough sun beds and no amenities on the lovely beach Limited draw space in the room, poor lighting in bathroom Too many unruly kids in the evening in the restaurant and hotel management invisible. I am still waiting for Tui and Kalima to respond to my complaint ref no 12244212 Tips Just book bed and breakfast, use as a base. Walk 10 minutes to the left down to the beach and spend your money with Farmai and Lanna. Local people with hearts of gold! Only book a week and move to a different location for your second week.

This is 2nd time to stay at Le Meridien Khao Lak and always good to be back. Thank you so much to upgrade my room to deluxe room 1215 that is closed to the beach. The room is very tidy and clean. Both Receptionist and Bellman are helpful and friendly. Especially, Khun Ing at The Nest restaurant, she comes to talk and recommends us great foods for dinner. We travelled with 3 families (6 adults and 4 kids 8-12) and stayed for 2 weeks. This was our second visit to Mai Khao Lak and we were equally as happy. Stayed in the top section (pool access jacuzzi suite). Modern, clean room with a separate living room, which doubles as a kid's room. Walk off the balcony into private spa area which joins massive swimming pool. There are no shortage of wet options with 5 pools from the beachfront area to the peaceful adults only pool area at the top of the resort. Loads of choices for bars and food. The new Thai restaurant by the beach is very comfortable with great food. At the kids pool area there is another kitchen and bar with great lunch options. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There is an hourly free shuttle bus from reception to town which is convenient, otherwise walk to the beachfront and you can get a tuk tuk (if you order through reception it will cost more!). Breakfast buffet is easy to navigate, with a huge selection of coffee / tea, fresh fruits / yoghurts, cooked food, cereal, pastries, cakes and sweets, loads of bread choices and cold cuts & cheeses. This was a big highlight for the kids and great way for us to all gather and catch up to start the day together. The beach and ocean are very nice, and the many options of beachfront bars, restaurants, laundry services and massage places are all within a 1-5 minute walk from the resort. We visited most of these during our stay and never had a bad experience. Kids club is awesome with plenty of fun and varied activities to engage the kids. If I had to fault something - the internet inside our room was poor, but in most other areas of the resort it was fine. So the 2 big questions... would we go back (a third time)? Second visit absolutely loved it stayed in a villa breakfast fantastic staff fabulous my only moan would be people getting up at a ridiculous hour and putting towels on beds one day we couldn’t get a bed needs addressing

The service staff are very helpful. There is no elevator in the hotel, so they help to lift it upstairs. The location is good, next to a local night market, but a bit far from the beach. The room card was lost. The front desk initially said that a compensation of 500 baht was required, but when they finally left, they only said that the compensation was 300 baht, which was quite reasonable.
