The Elbow Room
4.5/555 Reviews
Had tea at the Elbow Room tonight and cannot fault a thing, service was good and the food excellent. They have a bit of everything and its good pub grub. They have a pensioners menu which suited my mum with smaller portions but still plenty on the plate. Place is spotless and our meal wasn't too expensive. Been quite some time since i visited but I will definitely be back.

We were staying as we attended a wedding that was held there so we also benefitted from a reduced rate room which is always a bonus. We had a room which overlooked the front of the property on to the main road (I put that information in for the staff to be able to see to the shower - see below). In terms of price as well for drinks at the bar it is very very good which surprised us given that it is a hotel we expected it to be more expensive. The hotel as I said were doing the wedding too and they did a lovely job in my opinion, the room was made up lovely and the turnarounds from ceremony, to meal to evening reception were done well too, the staff were very professional and the food was okay to. The hotel is clean and the beds are very comfortable. it has obviously been refurbished recently as the rooms are modern. In the morning there is a good breakfast on offer and you can have the standard fry up with options or opt for a cereal and fruit and juice option (or both if it takes your fancy). The only down side was the shower, it was very poor in terms of water pressure which is a shame as the bathroom is very modern and looks very good.

The service is good. The room facilities are outdated. The first room has no image on the TV. If you change the room washbasin and it is not drained, it will be two days.
