"It was my first time traveling solo and I stayed in samesun. The hostel was really nice and they have free breakfast that comes with your booking so whether or not you need food in the morning, it’s available until 10am. Plus the staff are friendly and helpful. Would come back to banff and still choose samesun."

"Overall, my stay was very satisfying. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly kind and consistently provided attentive service, which left a strong impression on me. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, allowing me to fully recover from my travels. The bathroom facilities were also well-maintained, which I appreciated. The location was excellent, with restaurants and shops nearby, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. Access to public transportation was also good, which made getting around a breeze. The hotel itself had a quiet and calm atmosphere, allowing me to rest peacefully at night. This is a hotel I would definitely like to use again if I have the opportunity. "Hotels in Banff in July were incredibly expensive. A decent hotel cost around 3,000+, which was beyond my means. Although I was initially hesitant to stay in a hostel-like hotel, I took the plunge and it turned out quite well. It's a bonus to have a roommate who doesn't snore. Pros: Laundry, a kitchen, and a common area are all available, meeting basic needs. Cooking your own meals is fun and saves money. Cons: Showering is inconvenient."

"I had a very comfortable stay. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I was able to fully recover from the fatigue of my trip. The staff were friendly, and I felt at ease from check-in to check-out. The great location, convenient for sightseeing and travel, was also a big plus. If I come to this city again, this is a hotel I would definitely stay at."

"We had an incredible stay at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals. The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes. What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort. "The hotel is a bit far from Banff Centre, but there's a bus stop right outside, and the hotel provides free bus tickets. We stayed in a room with a view and could see the snow-capped mountains from the balcony. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. However, I was disappointed with the housekeeping service; we stayed for two nights, and on the second day, our room wasn't cleaned, and toiletries and bar items weren't replenished. The air conditioning was also very noisy, and even though maintenance came to adjust it, there was no improvement."

"We were happy with this place. It seems dated but in nice repair (much like our home and ourselves). We wanted it mostly for the fireplace but the room had more than that with a full kitchen and full size appliances. If we ever wanted to be in Banff and make substantial home cooked food, this would be ideal. The bed was great and the staff very kind and friendly. It is in a natural mountain area just five minutes by car from downtown Banff. We had a balcony looking at a Mountain view and deer in the yard in front of the unit. There is bus service into town and free tickets offered by the resort. There is a water slide and an indoor and outdoor hot tub which is nice but not really a breathtaking setting. If you enjoy corn mazes this building has a lot of routing in it that takes a while to learn. We joked with other guests about that. All in all, pretty okay. We would book here again."

"We did a little staycation in Banff from Calgary and overall had a great time. The cave pool was a big hit, but just a heads up that it’s not really a “swimming pool.” It’s more like a large cave-style hot tub. It’s shallow, and the water is fairly hot, so the kids couldn’t really swim or put their faces under the water. The cave setup is very cool though, and the adults really enjoyed it for relaxing. The dry sauna was also great. We stayed in a suite with two double beds, plus a living area with a sofa bed, a dining area, and a kitchenette. We were happy with the layout. The suite was clean, but it is definitely dated. One downside was the TVs. I know you don’t go to Banff to sit and watch TV, but it would be nice if they updated to smart TVs. If you’re traveling with kids, I’d suggest bringing a Fire Stick or Chromecast. Even an HDMI cable to connect a laptop would work, but make sure you download movies ahead of time because the Wi-Fi in our area was pretty spotty and the kids kept losing connection. The front desk staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and efficient. They made parking easy, provided bus passes, and explained local info without us having to ask a bunch of questions. We’d stay here again, and next time we’ll definitely bring something for the TV so we can do an easy movie night after a busy day."

"The rooms are well-spaced, and while each space isn't large, it's more than adequate. Even if you stay for more than a day, they won't come in to clean the apartment, but upon arrival, it was very clean. It's a cozy and comfortable little apartment, and I highly recommend it."
