The Douglas Fir Resort & Chalets provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Douglas Fir Resort & Chalets is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Banff. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Ink Pots Hiking Trail, Tunnel Mountain Trailhead (Lower Parking Area) and Harp Angel Harpist of Banff Lake Louise all nearby. At the end of a busy day, travelers can unwind and relax in the hotel or go out and enjoy the city. Guests of this Banff hotel can make use of the parking facilities. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.

"We were happy with this place. It seems dated but in nice repair (much like our home and ourselves). We wanted it mostly for the fireplace but the room had more than that with a full kitchen and full size appliances. If we ever wanted to be in Banff and make substantial home cooked food, this would be ideal. The bed was great and the staff very kind and friendly. It is in a natural mountain area just five minutes by car from downtown Banff. We had a balcony looking at a Mountain view and deer in the yard in front of the unit. There is bus service into town and free tickets offered by the resort. There is a water slide and an indoor and outdoor hot tub which is nice but not really a breathtaking setting. If you enjoy corn mazes this building has a lot of routing in it that takes a while to learn. We joked with other guests about that. All in all, pretty okay. We would book here again."

The Banff Aspen Lodge provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Banff Aspen Lodge offers a pleasant stay in Banff for those traveling for business or leisure. Famous local attractions Banff Canoe Club, Banff Wellness Practice and Harp Angel Harpist of Banff Lake Louise, can all be reached with a short walk. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. Guests of this Banff hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests rate this hotel as one of the best hotels for cleanliness. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.

"The double room was tiny, with no space for luggage, but then again, you wouldn't want to just stay cooped up indoors when visiting Banff. There's free, semi-covered parking, which is great for keeping out of the rain. The complimentary breakfast wasn't extensive but definitely filling enough. If you're staying for several days, there's a good chance your key card might stop working mid-stay. The hotel encourages guests to opt out of housekeeping, citing environmental protection, but the old perk of getting a coffee shop voucher for doing so is no longer available."

The Bow View Lodge provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Bow View Lodge is an ideal choice for travelers who want to take in the sights and sounds of Banff. Keeping busy is easy, with Banff National Park Administration Building, Royal Canadian Lodge and Banff Park Museum National Historic Site all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. For those driving themselves, parking is provided on site. According to our guests, the location of this hotel is one of the best around.

"It is a pleasant hotel with regular amenities. The beds are comfortable and the view out the windows is spectacular towards the Bow River. Unfortunately there was a shouting match between a couple from 1am-3:40am the second night as the walls do not muffle the sound as well as we would have liked. So very tired the next day or so, but the front desk said they have security on 24 hours and we should have called. Some of the items in the rooms are quaint and that's ok - they are small rooms, but we spent most of our time out in Banff or skiing, Overall they worked out."

This hotel had an amazing location, so close to the town of Banff, making it super easy to get around everywhere! We arrived early, but they were kind enough to let us check in ahead of schedule and get into our room, which was a huge plus. The room itself was spacious and very clean, which I was happy with. It also had a shower room with a bathtub. In the hotel lobby, there was a free drink dispenser, which was a nice touch. While there wasn't a restaurant inside this hotel, we were able to enjoy a breakfast buffet at the hotel right across the street! Plus, there are tons of other places to eat nearby, so we really didn't have any issues at all.

Beautiful hotel. Great location. 5-10 min walk from everything. We needed to clean the tea/coffee amenities and wipe down the table ourselves but no big deal. We booked a superior 2 queen room - all these types of room are all on the first floor. You should make sure to request facing inside, not outside towards the street. No view but it's quiet. Others complain about noise/privacy if facing the street on the 1st floor. One pool was closed for renovation and blocking some of the view from the roof.

Overall pretty good, underground parking was rough with little space an terrible parkers. Unfortunately there’s nothing the hotel could do about people’s driving skills. I would recommend this hotel but get back early and walk if you can if you’d like to have a spot for your vehicle.

I recently traveled to Banff with six friends and stayed in a family room at the Moxy Hotel. Overall, it was a great experience! The room was spacious, with a youthful and vibrant design, perfect for friends or small groups. The atmosphere was great! 👍 However, one minor drawback was the lack of a door lock in the bathroom, which might be slightly inconvenient for larger groups. I hope the hotel can improve this in the future. Overall, it was a pleasant stay and I would recommend it to anyone traveling with friends!

We had an incredible stay at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals. The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes. What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort. I’d highly recommend Tunnel Mountain Resort for couples, families, or anyone wanting a true Banff escape. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and breathtaking scenery—I’m already looking forward to coming back!

This hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Banff High School Transit Hub, which is the starting point for buses to Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, the Banff Gondola, and all the major ski resorts. Plus, it's just a short walk to Banff's main commercial area. The only downside is that the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. However, this is a common issue with most hotels in Banff due to their wooden construction.

Hotel is a bit far from town but it provides free town shuttle. We booked the balcony room hoping to get a better view. We have rooms with big trees in front. When asked if we can change rooms, he won’t change since it’s not booked direct. The balcony room has little heat as the heater is smaller and the room is colder.

They need assigned parking, otherwise you might end up having to park aways a way from your room. Also the walk way to our unit and stairway was all covered with snow and ice. It would’ve been nice if it was all cleaned before we got there. We had to ask the front desk three times before anything was done. Also we wanted to go into the hot tubs, but we were unable to. Due to there was way too much many people that were in there at the time. So we left for a couple hours and came back, thought ok let’s try again (hot tub). Once again unable to cause it was still packed with the same people. Other than that, everything was pretty good.
