Hotels with Parking in Banff

We had an incredible stay at Tunnel Mountain Resort in Banff. From the moment we checked in, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The property itself feels tucked away in the trees, offering peace and quiet while still being just a few minutes from downtown Banff. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with a rustic mountain vibe that fit perfectly with the surroundings. I especially loved the fireplace—it made evenings feel warm and relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchenette was well-equipped, which was a nice bonus for preparing meals. The views from the resort are stunning. Waking up to the fresh mountain air and seeing the Rockies right outside my window was unforgettable. On-site amenities like the hot tub and pool added to the experience, especially after long hikes. What stood out most was the balance between comfort and nature. It felt like having a private cabin in the mountains but with all the convenience of a resort. I’d highly recommend Tunnel Mountain Resort for couples, families, or anyone wanting a true Banff escape. It’s the perfect mix of relaxation, comfort, and breathtaking scenery—I’m already looking forward to coming back!

Surprising cabin, we had a pleasant 2 nights here. The room was clean and tidy, the kitchen and living room were together, the bedroom was bigger than expected, and the bedding was very comfortable. There is heating, the fireplace can also be used, we asked the staff to help us make the fire. There are microwave ovens and induction cookers, simple kitchen utensils, we went to the supermarket to buy ingredients and made dinner by ourselves. In the evening, there was a deer eating grass on the lawn downstairs. The hotel has its own soup pool, which is very small, we are too tired to go soak. The staff is very welcoming and the old-fashioned door lock is not very easy to use.

Great room with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. The balcony offers a stunning mountain vista that feels incredibly open and airy. Bonus: the hot pool is included with the stay!👍

Hotel is a bit far from town but it provides free town shuttle. We booked the balcony room hoping to get a better view. We have rooms with big trees in front. When asked if we can change rooms, he won’t change since it’s not booked direct. The balcony room has little heat as the heater is smaller and the room is colder.

This hotel is conveniently located directly across from the Banff High School Transit Hub, which is the starting point for buses to Lake Louise, Johnston Canyon, the Banff Gondola, and all the major ski resorts. Plus, it's just a short walk to Banff's main commercial area. The only downside is that the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great. However, this is a common issue with most hotels in Banff due to their wooden construction.

Overall, a good hotel.  It is located 10 minutes walk from the town centre and has a basement parking.  During peak periods, the number of lots may be insufficient. There is a complimentary bus ticket given to us for around town use.  The rooms are clean and especially like the shower, it’s a total monolithic mould of the bathtub and wall.  Only small complaint is the walls are lightly sound insulated so you can hear your neighbours voices.

The hot spring was so relaxing, and the hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel's location is great and the property itself is lovely. They even provide free bus tickets. The only minor drawback is that the soundproofing isn't the best.

Overall, my stay was very satisfying. From check-in to check-out, the staff were incredibly kind and consistently provided attentive service, which left a strong impression on me. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable, allowing me to fully recover from my travels. The bathroom facilities were also well-maintained, which I appreciated. The location was excellent, with restaurants and shops nearby, making it very convenient for sightseeing and dining. Access to public transportation was also good, which made getting around a breeze. The hotel itself had a quiet and calm atmosphere, allowing me to rest peacefully at night. This is a hotel I would definitely like to use again if I have the opportunity. We stayed at Royal Canadian Lodge in Banff from March 26–29 with my 7-year-old daughter, and overall we had a great experience. Check-in was simple and straightforward. We arrived in the early evening, and Jason at the front desk was the most approachable and helpful hotel staff member I have ever dealt with. He remembered my daughter’s name, greeted her every day, checked in with us throughout our stay, and added little touches that made the trip feel extra special for both of us. The renovated room itself was fairly standard for a hotel room, but comfortable. Our room had two queen beds, which worked well for us. The bathroom had a shower only, with no bathtub, but that was not an issue. The pillows were big and lumpy, all 8 of the pillows in our room were too high/tall for my daughter to use comfortably. There are robes provided in the room, it would be a nice touch if they could also provide kids size robes. We had a mini fridge, coffee maker with coffee, and kettle with tea provided in the room. We ordered room service one night and tried the pulled pork poutine, which was the daily special from the restaurant. Unfortunately, it was not very good, and I would not recommend it. The TV included free cable and on-demand programming, as well as pay-per-view movies. I had brought my laptop and an HDMI cord, and we were able to connect it to the TV easily to watch our own movies. Watching on-demand, my daughter discovered The Simpsons and loved it (lol) The pool area was a big highlight for us. The pool is salt water rather than chlorine. The water itself was on the cooler side, but there was also a good-sized hot tub and a large steam room. My daughter quickly made friends with another family staying at the hotel, and the kids spent multiple hours a day in the pool together. The gym was small but functional. In the four days we were there, it was empty every time we walked by. Parking is $20 per day, which does add up. There is also free street parking behind the hotel if you are able to find a spot. One fun feature in the lobby was the robot, which the kids absolutely loved. We were told that after construction is complete, it will be delivering items to guest rooms. During our stay it moved around the lobby, told jokes, and handed out free apples. The hotel was reasonably priced compared with other options in the area. I chose it specifically for the pool setup, knowing we would be spending a lot of time there, and it worked out really well for that. Shops and restaurants on the main street were about a 10-minute walk away, or you could take the bus that stops outside the neighboring hotel for $2 per ride, with kids riding free. I would definitely stay here again in the future. The price, location, rooms, and pool make this a very family-friendly hotel option in Banff. Biggest thank you to Jason at the front desk for the spectacular service we enjoyed.

They need assigned parking, otherwise you might end up having to park aways a way from your room. Also the walk way to our unit and stairway was all covered with snow and ice. It would’ve been nice if it was all cleaned before we got there. We had to ask the front desk three times before anything was done. Also we wanted to go into the hot tubs, but we were unable to. Due to there was way too much many people that were in there at the time. So we left for a couple hours and came back, thought ok let’s try again (hot tub). Once again unable to cause it was still packed with the same people. Other than that, everything was pretty good.
