Between 27 and 30.03.2022, we went on live broadcasting of the Turkish-Italian football match in Konya. Almost 250 TRT staff were distributed to various hotels in the city ... We were settled in the SEYR-İ KONYA BUTIK Hotel, which we experienced for the first time. Physical conditions, soil heating and unused rooms were very great for us. We have been very comfortable from every point of view, only with air conditioning, width, comfort in beds, cleaning of bathrooms, hard cleaning ... When compared to hotels in their own standards, breakfast is very clean and tasty ... İlknur Abla has always served all TRT staff with a smile. The hotel director, Madame Menekşe, has really welcomed us as private guests. Our pleasant conversation with the hotel owner Harun Bey, unlimited tea, coffee and drink service, really provided a great rest to all my friends. We had a very comfortable accommodation in our hot rooms in the hotel we arrived after long hours of work in the cold of the stadium in the ice-like air, and the price was very convenient. When I first entered the hotel room I realized that it was not changed when I looked at the ladles. We made breakfast at the hotel. The number of staff is insufficient. However, staff providing breakfast are working lively. Thank you for their efforts. They try to make them happy. The windows of the rooms stay high as the home room.

We stayed here for three nights last weekend. The hotel is created out of a beautiful 200-year old house with a relaxing garden in a central but quiet position in the lovely city of Konya. The rooms are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very generous and has a wide range of local produce including the delicious mouldy cheese which is a speciality of the area. The owner, Momed, is incredibly kind and helpful and very knowledgeable about the city. He arranged for his brother, Mehmet, to take us to Catalhoyuk at a very reasonable price and we discovered lots about their upbringing in the Tarsus Mountains. Mehmet is also a well-known local kilim dealer and produces kilims to traditional designs using natural dyes and local weavers. The brothers are both honest and trustworthy and they charge reasonable prices for the services and rugs that they offer. The real beauty of staying at the Konya Dervish Hotel is that you get to meet the owners who can answer all your questions about Turkey and tell you about their life - which is, after all, the real reason for travelling. You couldn't wish for kinder and more generous hosts than the owners of this hotel. If you are interested in buying a kilim, do read the story in the hotel's pamphlet about the very special rugs that they produced for a castle in Scotland - it will reassure you that you are dealing with one of the most reputable dealers in Turkey. Konya is a lovely city with some great sights and the Dervish Hotel is the best hotel in the city at a very reasonable rice.

Address - Selçuklu, Konya Ambiance/Facilities - the ambience is very calm, near the tramvay station, not too crowded. taxi is available as well, just ask the receptionist if you need it and they will call it for you Highlights - the hotel is clean, the room is very spacious complete with an office, 2 TVs, the bed is round and unique. However you may need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner as they only provided shower gel in the bathroom.
