Rooms are clean and adequate, offering value for money. The food is very simple, there are a few restaurants next door to choose from (recommended) Friendly and welcoming staff/family. No sleep on account of the many barking dogs…..now we know why they sleep all day :) Beautiful views, feels like you are at the top of the mountain! Hairy road if driving or would be a slog if walking with a pack…

Once you mastered the drive up to the castle, you’re in for a wonderful experience. The staff was amazingly friendly, the rooms are excellent, but nothing beats the view from the castle and the sunset. This place is a must if you’re in town. Side note - great food

This is a great place to stay, full of character and in a fantastic location right at the top of the hill of the historic castle. It's family-run and they are friendly, attentive and very helpful. It's above the old bazaar, and has fantastic views all round. The outdoor tables are distributed around an attractive garden of vines and fruit trees, some with great views of the sunset. The restaurant serves traditional dishes, and it's all great value. There were often large family groups of locals for dinner when we were there.

Rooms Emiliano offers an incredibly magnificent view of the sunset over Kruja. We had some amazing local food followed by excellent meat for dinner while we enjoyed the sunset. The staff and servers were wonderfully kind people. And if you’re a cat-lover, you’d love this place even more 😉 After dinner we decided to stay for one night at their hotel. We got a very clean, lovely twin room. We slept very well and had a delicious breakfast in the morning (with lots of yummy cheese and bread!). The food and the view will for sure make me go back there again! Highly highly recommended for the kind people, great food and dreamy views! 😍

With chilly temperatures in the mountains, I felt so warm and cozy in Emiliano's dining room stuffing my belly with delicious food. The family is kind and hospitable. The view and sunsets are incredible.

Wow. Talk about hospitality! This family of 4 is eager to please and as accommodating. The mother cooks delicious dinners for 15euros in a cozy room with a fireplace. The 2 sons take care of the day-to-day details. There English is good and they try so hard to make you comfortable
Each room has space heaters and thick blankets.
The sunsets and view are stunning.

Loved staying at Rooms Emiliano! The family who owns and runs it is absolutely delightful! They genuinely care about their guests. The service is superb, and the authentic Albanian food was delicious. Can't beat the view either!

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Even though it was the first of November we were able to eat breakfast in the garden and that was amazing. Very private and the view of the mountains was spectacular. Very quaint property with fruit trees, flowers and unique outdoor seating options. The house dinner was superb in a cozy dining room with fireplace. Fireplace advertised in rooms is actually a space heater. Rooms quite warm despite chilly nights but plenty of quilts available. My party and I were quite pleased with our stay at Rooms Emiliano and recommend highly.

The location is really sensational- inside the grounds of the historic castle, with the mountain behind you and sweeping views to the valley below. There was lots to like here, including the great price, the comfortable bed, the simple but decent breakfast (note- what I thought was apple juice was in fact hot tea!). The location as well as being stunning is ideally situated for the main museums and exploring the centre of the town. The only thing we weren't keen on which could be easily rectified is that we thought that there was a bit of a hard sell about the dinner- we hadn't even got to our room and the owner was telling us we should book it. When I tried to say that we'd think about it (we were actually climbing the mountain and it was hard to know when we'd be back) he told us things like it would show respect, he had given us the best room etc. Once I was firm we needed time to decide (we did choose to have dinner in the end anyway) he backed down, but it felt like a non-relaxing start to our stay and a bit pushy. Best to just let the guests find their feet when they arrive before pressuring them. Other than that, a really special place.
