Kunming Senyue Selected Video Hotel

Good to stay, near many bus stops and metro so you can commute to every other tourist spots in the city. We got 2 bottles of water everday per room. And the staff actively clean our rooms every morning. The facility is old but okay for one who just wants to stay for sleep.

The hotel is near to a metro station and a few restaurants including a halal restaurant however the WiFi is very slow.

Well located, quiet and really good value. Things that could really improve is the water pressure and the amenities.

Was given a room facing the road on the third floor: the windows are NOT soundproof, so be prepared to be woken up by very busy traffic and honking horns. The old security guard who helped us with the luggage did not seem to give a damn either when I asked about a room change, so in hindsight I should've checked with reception. If you want a decent night's sleep, don't book here else you might end up with a room facing the road. Also there was what appeared to be mould near the door and bathroom. If you're desperate and can't get anything else, book here, else AVOID AVOID AVOID. Also forget about asking for a room NOT near the elevator. I made a request via the app for a room not near the elevator and I was given a room right near it. Lastly the towels are those single use ones and are trash, and people smoke openly in the hotel, even in the elevator. So in summary: bad sleep and second-hand smoke...what more could you ask for? Only positive is we were allowed to checkout at 2pm instead of 12

The location was great. We could walk in one minute from the northern railway station. There are many restaurants and shops nearby. The room was clean and very comfortable for two people. We had all the necessities we needed and wanted. The staff was very kind and the checkin was easy.
